I'm wanting to buy a straightforward microwave that's simple to use for my 85 year old mother. She's becoming very forgetful and finds the multi function combination grill/oven/microwave she has at present too complicated so it increases her anxiety. Do you think this would serve the purpose?
-
That's exactly what we wanted. Multifunction microwaves are hopelessly complicated. This is ideal, it does exactly what I want. I can cook with it, defrost with it, and its all easy. I find automatic defrost a waste of time, likewise auto cook. I cook for a few mins, then look to see if it's done, and if not cook a bit longer. Similarly with defrost.
Thew other big plus we discovered when it arrived is that you can mount it under an eye level kitchen cupboard so it frees some work space
And it looks goo d too!!, -
Hello Jane
Yes, I would say this model would be fine. Providing you Mother can turn the timer knob. It is quite stiff. Some rubber strips glued to the knob/s would help.
My guess she probably only needs to heat food and this model does the job.
