Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the BlackBerry Curve 8520
-
i want to know if blackberry curve 8520 or 8900 is the new. also i would like to know is curve or bold better ? reply early as possible thanks.
-
boldisbette
-
-
any Gps funtion on this phone?
-
Yes there is, I don't know how good it is tho as I don't use it.
-
-
If I decide to purchase the item, how do I get onto the Internet & send & receive e-mails using the phone, would I have to take out an additional ISP? I currently use Virgin Media for my Lap-Top. Thanks
-
You just register your personal email address on the blackberry. You can add more than one ie work email
-
-
is the camera good and what is the internet speed like
-
The camera is alright, sometimes can be a bit grainy or dull but it still takes a good picture. Internet speed can have you waiting a bit to load a page but that could depend on where you live or other things
-
-
my scroller keeps freezin gonly had it 3 months good but have to be carefull
-
Oh, that's not good is it!! I've only had mine since 17th dec, and I'm not on contract, so hope mine lasts a bit longer!! My son kept havin probs with his BB Bold, he's gone over to HTC now :(
-
-
On which network is the BlackBerry BB service free and on which is it an additional service you have to pay extra for?
-
Hi, well I am on O2 and my son is on Orange and we both get BBM free. I thought that was the idea of it, I thought it was free to send a message on all networks??
-
-
whats the best theme to use?
-
There are so many you can download, it's all about personal preference
-
-
does it have internet acsess
-
It has wifi so you can connect to a local wifi spot but to go on the internet you need to have a blackberry data plan with your tarrif
-
I just top up £15 per month with O2 and they do the rest. Same as I did before I had a Blackberry. I think £5 of that goes to Blackberry, but I still have the same free texts/internet that I had before, I still only top up £15 per month.
-
-
does every blackberry curve 8520 have free BBM !
-
You can download BBM onto the phone but you won't be able to use it unless you have a Blackberry data plan. Same goes for all other apps like Facebook, ect
-
-
Are they good phones? And what not very good about them?
-
Hi I like the phone because it is easy to use, with a great screen, if i had any minus o[points its the other all size of the phone its self. But all in all a good phone .
-
yes I really like the phone it has great features but buttons are a little small. Glad father Christmas got it for me!
-
-
do i get free BBM on O2 on pay as you go?x
-
If you add the Blackberry bolt on, £5 a month
-
same as tesco mobile, tesco use o2
-
-
Hi, im on t-mobile and i want to get a blackberry but im worried im going to pay out for it and realise after a few months that i could of got something better for my money what do you think? shall i just get a blackberry or get a different phone if you say a different phone what phone would you say? Also i have read all the questions&answer's above and im really confused what is a a data plan? do i have to pay out more money for a data plan or can i just use wifi?
-
You need to find out if Tmobile do a blackberry data plan and if they do I would say stick with this phone. A data plan is what lets you use the features such as email, blackberry messenger, the applications, etc. I only know about the O2 one as thats what I'm on and its something extra you add on to your tariff for an extra charge.
-
would recommed blackberry cant live without it! data plan essential should check out Tesco mobile on pay as you go, £5 a month for data plan and you get triple credit ie top up £10 and you get £20 free credit.
-
-
if you buy a blackberry pay as you go on 02 network. will it work with tesco sim card?
-
Yes they are same network, my blackberry is o2 and I use tesco sim
-
-
Do you think this phone is worth the money do you think it's a good phone or would you reccomend some other phone
-
I wanted this particular phone so I do think it's worth the money, it's got everything I need on it. You could pick a different model of Blackberry if you wanted
-
-
I know they are very expensive but are they worth the money you pay for them?. I have my own sim is that ok to put that in there?. Is this one of the best phones you have ever had?. Do you have to pay for bbm on the phone?. Thanks x
-
Personally I do think it's worth the money because I've got everything I need in one phone. If your sim is the same make as whatever network the phone is or if the phone is unlocked to any network it will be okay. Yes you do have to pay you need a blackberry bolt on to go with your tariff so you can get the extras, mine is only £5 a month with o2
-
Yep, I totally agree with Becky's comment above :)
-
-
Does the Blackberry 8250 have bbm? And is it free?
-
Mine has and it's free. I cant remember if it was already on there or if I downloaded it.
-
-
Do you get a USB cable in box?
-
I didn't buy mine straight from the shop so I had to buy mine seperate but I imagine it would normally
-
Yes mine came with a USB cable in the box. Bought from Tescos on O2.
-
-
do I need to buy a new sim if I buy the blackberry. I have an o2 number already, can I just insert my old sim into the phone
-
if the phone is network free it will be ok but if its tied to a network then it will have to be unlocked
-
-
if you buy a blackberry pay as you go on T-Mobile will it work with 02 sim card,,thanks
-
No it wont you'll need to have an o2 blackberry or an unlocked blackberry that will take any sim card
-
-
If you're on Pay As You Go do you get free Facebook access and what is the best colour to get?
-
As long as you pay for the blackberry bolt on which is what lets you use facebook, bbm and other apps then you can use them. There is no 'best' colour as it's personal preferece, get whichever colour you prefer
-
-
Do the Blackberry Curve 8520 keys light up?
-
They do, there are some settings in the screen/keyboard part of the options for you to customise the brightness and how long the backlight stays on for and such
-
-
which phone do i get if i want a contract blackberry x
-
Any blackberry you want, just get it on a contract instead of pay as you go
-
-
I am wondering if for definite it comes with £10 credit?
-
I can't say for definite but I work in a shop and when I sell a phone at the checkout I have to ask if the customer wants a top up with their phone.
Even so, there's nothing wrong with buying a voucher seperately -
Mine didn't come with any credit. I got it from Tesco Direct.
-
-
How do you know which Balckberry comes with free bbm? and also if the blackberry doesn't have bbm, how do you get it
-
they all have bbm as long as you have blackberry data package - usually £5 per month just ask your mobile provider
-
-
My Daughter likes the blackberry is their any other colours with this great offer?
-
I know this also comes in a light purple/lilac colour, but you can also buy cases in various colours and designs
-
-
Hi im buying a blackberry from here then getting an o2 simplicity sim(PAYG) to put in it. How do i add blackberry bolt on for free internet for an extra £5?
-
It's on the o2 website, if you sign in and go to my o2 > my tariff and bolt ons > add bolt ons you should be able to find it
-
-
is the internet free on this phone xx
-
The deal I have at present gives me free internet for 6 months on a payg. However it does pick up your own wifi if you put your password in, so as far as I can see sensible use near your wifi is fine, but as far as I am aware they will charge when you are out.
-
-
Is the internet free on this phone r do youu have to pay and is bbm free xxx
-
you will need a data package and blackberry data for bbm, usually no more than £5 per month
-
-
is internet free?????
-
Internet is free if you connect to a free wifi service, but to get the internet without wifi you need to pay every month for a blackberry bolt on to use the internet and other features
-
Think it depends on your allowance. I'm payg O2 and pay £15 per month, £5 of that goes to Blackberry, and I get free txts and internet
-
-
Is the internet free on this phone xxxxxxx
-
As far as I am aware no, my deal has 6 months free on a payg, but it picks up the wifi in the house so with sensible use it will be fine, it is a lovely phone
-
-
Im thinking of buying it on payasyougo(as i never use monthly) and the prices are pretty good for a blackberry, But i was wondering, how do you get all the apps on there? such as facebook and twitter/ect.
-
You can download them from blackberry app world but it does cost money to use them as they require internet.
-
-
is it worth getting a blackberry as i have a rio and the screan has smashed 4 times ???????? xx
-
I would say it is worth getting a blackberry, but you probably should take more care with your phones so the screens don't smash
-
-
can you get sat nav on the blackberry and if so how do you get it
-
no u cant get it on the blackberry
-
I don't think so
-
-
i am with orange network and want to know how i get internet connections, i have read about the bolt thing from all the comments does anyone know how much it will cost i am on a contracr
-
its usually no more than £5 per month
-
-
What colours Are there???????
-
As far as I know there is black and lilac, but you can buy covers to go on it so any colour you want really
-
I am not sure, mine is black but I bought a very nice bright red cover for it with a film to keep the screen clean. I am 52 and find it very user friendly, it is a lovely phone
-
-
i want to black berrys 8520 end of this year dont put it for to much
-
Sorry I do not understand your question please re-submit, thanks
-
-
hey im thinking of getting this phone! :) wat is BBM can you get msn and facebook on it?
-
Bbm is like msn for bberry users and yes you can get both of those but you have to pay per month with a blackberry bolt on
-
-
hiya what colours do you bb curves in ?Xxx
-
The ones i remember are black, silver, white, pink/purple and red. But you can buy new cases in various colours anyway.
-
-
hey, i recently got a new sim and i always top up £10 to get my unlimited text and £5 goes to my internet wich is for 30 days and its unlimited. i want to get a balckberry soon But im Quite confused about the 'blackberry bolt' does this mean that when i get my phone i will not have to pay that extra £5 to get the unlimited internet for my bbm? Plase help thanks
-
what you need for the bbm is different to the internet, even if you were paying for the internet you would not be able to use bbm without the bolt on. I think with the bolt on the internet is included but check with whoever you're with
When you get a blackberry buy the bolt on with it, I'm on o2 and when I top up £10 a month I get 300 free texts and £5 goes to pay for my bolt on
-
-
bbm on bb curve is it free to download then do u pay £5 to use it every month on pay as you go?
-
Yeah, thats right but you also get other things like facebook and hotmail with it.
-
-
I have a pay as you go t-mobile blackberry curve, my 6 months free internet and bbm ran out, How can I get them back? Also, How do I pay for the bbm each month?
-
ask for bolt on blackberry internet usually no more than £5 per month
-
-
i am a young adult i have got a good job, but i find that i can only really use my B.B socialy so any idea's.
-
What were you expecting to use it for?
-
I use mine mainly for email as I run a small business, do I assume you have your email set up on it, mine has been a lifeline
-
-
Do you get Unlimited texts the next month aswell as 100 free minutes
-
yes i do
-
-
I am on contract with T-mobile. I understand I can pick up wi fi signal here, or elsewhere with pass code. Does it cost more to pick up internet elsewhere?
I do not necessarily want facebook access.-
As long as you have a set limit of how much internet is included in your contract (e.g. 250mb) it does not matter where you use it.
-
-
How do you find out your BBM pin?
-
When you're on BBM, click on the top section where your name & availability are, this should go to another page & if you scroll down it'll say your pin. (:
-
-
is a blackberry curve good and dose the blackberry messanger help your phone bill go down a lot?
-
BBM does save you a lot of money on texts and calls but only if the persons/people you want to message also have it. Though I think there my be apps out there you can download where you can message to any messenger.
-
I have a payg and 6 months free internet at present so watch this space. As it picks up the wifi at home I hope it will be ok with careful use
-
-
Is it really worth the amount you pay for it?
-
spose so
-
yes
-
-
Is the Blackberry Curve worth the money? because all my friends have got one. Is BBM for free? And do you have to pay for Facebook?
-
Bbm and facebook are apps that are free to download but you can't use them unless you have a blackberry bolt on with your tariff. I'm on o2 and pay £5 a month and I get all my emails to my phone, fb, apps, everything
-
-
Hi, I noticed some people mentioned you can't do picture messaging on this phone? Is that right? Or that it costs more again. Do you have to pay for another data package for this?
Also, just wondered how speedy it was to get on the net when out and about, as that is main reason for me thinking of buying. Thanks very much.-
Well you can access the internet very quickly wherever you are and photo messaging is possible but its best to do it via blackberry messenger as the bluetooth isnt that good.
-
-
When you buy the phone itself does it come with headphones and adpater for the lapotop/computer usb lead and charger??
-
Yes it came with all of the above.
-
-
I now have a Blackberry Pearl which is getting quite old now, I've been begging my parents for months to get me a Blackberry Curve. They said yes if I do jobs and stuff, so I'm saving up basically. Is it really worth all this?
-
I think you should buy your own phone and not your parents!
You should do the jobs anyway, not for treats. there are much cheaper phones available anyway. -
The answer to this is, are you more into texting or email? The reason I bought one is as I run a small business I use it to check and send email, as you know it has a small keyboard (more suitable for girl size hands) It is therefore a more professional phone bit still has all the features you need. I paid £150 for mine as payg on T mobile with free 6 months internet, it retails for £250 on Amazon, hope this helps it is a lovely phone
-
-
How do you get a data plan on this phone, so i can start using my BBM straight?
-
you buy it from your network provider. I added mine using the o2 website
-
-
Hi,
Thanks for the answer on photo messaging. Can you not just send text picture messages, like with normal phones?
Is Blackberry Messenger only able to be used with others who have Blackberrys? Thanks.-
You can but to be honest its really slow and is sometimes not compatible with other phones. Blackberry messenger can only be used with other blackberrys but there are other applications that can link you with other phones.
-
-
is it worth purchasing the blackberry curve 8520? and is £135.00 for the phone + 20 pounds on a app card a good price??? Thanks.
-
yh it is worth it mate
-
-
I've just got my phone and can't send an MMS - has anyone else had this problem?
-
have u set it up in options
-
change settings on message page, from mms to sms, the tricky part is getting in touch with the provider e,g t-mobile or orange to update phone to recieve picture messaging, or send pic to yourself to activate it, take time to explore the phone in detail so much to see its surprising
-
-
At the moment, I have a HTC on contract and am thinking about getting a BB.
If I get a BB I'm going to use my HTC sim-card, but I'm not sure how I would be able to pay for BBM?-
Your network provider should be able to do it for you. O2 arranged mine for me, I just rang customer services dept.
-
-
two of friends have it and there screens broke after 5 months has any one had problems with there screen?
-
no
-
no you just need to be careful, they are not indestructable.
-
-
When I got to an Orange Store and I ask to buy a blackberry curve 8520 will I be able to go home and use bbm straight away without wifi? Or will I have to ask the man/woman at the shop for blackberry bolt on? (this is for a pay as you go phone) Thanks
-
yes for pay as you go, ask to set it up, then off you go, have as much info as pos from store, for messenger its best to get high speed response thats set up ready, and always have clear signal for great fun
-
u will need to pay £5 per month 4 bb internet
-
-
Does it cost to use BBM? + facebook ect...?
-
Yes, it costs £5 a month to use all of it (facebook, bbm, twitter etc.) but if you are on contract it often comes included.
-
-
If you get unlimited internet in your contract, what does that mean? Is it that you can get internet anywhere without wi-fi, just a signal?
-
Sorry I have a payg, the deal I have is free internet use for 6 months. I use my wifi at home but it will pick up email when you go out which is the reason I bought it as I run a small business, hope this helps a little
-
-
do they do a dark purple one of this? xxx
-
yes they do
-
i think so emily
-
-
My daughter got one for her birthday and she is on the dolphin tariff which should provide free Internet access but she only gets it when she is on wifi. She has had confirmation she is on dolphin, bbm does not work and facebook app does not work. What does she need to do?!
Thank you-
8 pin code set up to address book, face book application been set up right, internet set to orange, tho it can be complicated, they need to be set, its harder to explain than to do but yeah wifi is the only option set it up for bbm and facebook apps, not as advanced as it might sound it needs a lot of playtime to get use to
-
-
what network is best for signal for bbm and internet (on pay as you go)
-
I'm on o2 and haven't had any problems so far. Had my BB about 6 months now.
-
If you really wanted to you could look on the internet for the coverage of each network, maybe wikipedia. Though I've never had a problem with O2
-
With orange you can get T-mobile signal as well.
-
-
I'm looking for a phone that I can use a calender or outlook express for a heavy appointment schedule ie 12 - 14 appointments a day. How practical would this be with a blackberry?
-
yip you can do this with the blackberry.
-
-
im thinking of getting blackberry 8520 on a dolphin 15 contract on orange. im not sure if you pay for bbm or internet and if youd do get free internet then is it quick thanks.
-
I believe you need to pay an additional £5 per month if you are likely to use your email and internet options. Haven't seen my first bill as yet to need to clarify that when I get it.
The Internet connection is quite good and quick - so it shouldn't be an issue.
Hope this helps.
-
-
am thinking of getting the blackberry curve 8520 on dolphin 15 contract with orange and am wondering if you get unlimited internet and bbm. if the internet is unlimited then is it quick.
-
yes its quick
-
-
Ive bought the blackberry 8520 curve on orange pay monthly. but havnt got an internet package with it, can i connect to my wifi at home and use facebook without it adding to my monthy orange bill? is it free?
-
yeah its free to use wifi and it wont add to your monthly bill
-
yes what stephanie says, get orange dolphin
-
-
am thinking of getting the blackberry curve 8520 on dolphin 15 contract with orange and am wondering if you get unlimited internet and bbm. if the internet is unlimited then is it quick.
-
dont really know about orange contracts as it is T-mobile. internet is fast though on the phone.
hope this helps -
the internet speed depends on where u are at the time. At home my internet is great but if i'm in a crowded place its naff. BBM is unlimited and free and the internet comes in with your price plan
-
-
how many coulers can you gett this esact one in ????!?????
-
Check with your Network! Some networks offer their own colours. Personally, i've seen this model in purple, red and white.
-
WITH ORANGE IT IS IN BLACK. OTHER NETWORKS OFFER COLOURS
-
-
is blackberry curve easy to use
-
yes very simple
-
-
well my sister has one and she said it freezez all the time and alot of people have said tht it does i was wondering if it acctually deos ????
-
I have had mine for 2 months now and it has not frozen ever! It is a lovely phone
-
-
Can you get like google and facebook and BBM?
-
yes
-
-
i been keep asking my mum for a blackberry but basicly the only resson why i want it is for bbm but im not sure if i get a blackberry curve i can get bbm??
-
You can get bbm on any blackberry however its not free and costs £5 a month on pay as you go.
-
bbm comes with blackberry curve, setting it up right, wifi is main option for it, orange dolphin has good deal
-
-
what is the camra like
-
The camera has no flash function so can be a bit dark indoors but it's still good.
-
-
how much is the phone in total ?
-
Mine is contract 30 a month free internet and txts and loads of minutes. If you. Want to buy one check out e-bay...
-
i got mine as payg from t-mobile £150 free internet for 6 months top up with £10.00 and get bundles with free txt
-
-

-
Yes! Its on the bottom of the phone!
-
-
Is the internet free?
-

-
-
if you get this phone on orange does it have the orange symbol on the front of the phone?
-

-
-

-
will only happen if you stop paying for bb internet
-
-
On orange do they do white ones?
-
They only do black and silver.
-

-
-
is bbm free on tmobile
and how long fb a day would 500MB per calendar month be thanks-
bbm is free on all networks and i have unlimited internet on my network with orange
-
bbm is never free as far as i know, you always have to pay for the bolt on to use any apps
im able to check my fb a few times a day without going over my allowance so it should be plenty but do take into account any time you spend on the internet on your phone
-
-
Is this a good phone for texting all the time and using facebook, twitter etc? And whats the bad things about it?
-
Oh it is great for facebook, I'm not a twitter user, but the app was already installed so it must be closely linked. The bad things about using it for facebook is probably the current app I use at the moment, doesn't allow you to like certain things. But other than that, great for facebook. I'm on it all the time, and get an alert for a new notification, so my poke backs are even quicker now.
Bad things, in your messages inbox you cant delete the facebook notifications. So if someone is snooping on your phone they just need to go there and can see private mails easily. Battery life is pretty annoying too. The keypad too me awhile to get used to since I've never used a qwerty keyboard with a phone before but I am slowly getting there. Any other queries, feel free to ask.

How add arabic language to Blackberry curve 8520
-
you go to the set up menu on fone and select language
-
-
What do you get with the Pay as you go option. I heard you can't use BBM and other things unless you're on contract.
-
i think thats true
-
-
I am hoping to get a blackberry curve 8520 - Forst blue (colour)
But I have an uncle who works for carphone wearhouse and he sed he wouldn't recomend the phone because they have loads of complaints...I dont know weather to get the phone or not...I want it, but that has put me of a bit. Should I get it? And, I am a 11 year old girl....but do you think the colour blue will be alright for a girl? I dont like pink and stuff like that....blue is my favee! :) X Thanks, Mollyx-
I have not had any problems with mine and I like it, you can create a nice back ground. But the one thing I would say to you, as your Uncle works in the phone industry he is someone you should talk to first, kind regards, Jenny
-
I would def recommend the Blackberry Curve!! Best phone I have ever had tbh! Speak to your Uncle though, always gather lots of advice and info and then make it your own!! The only thing I had noticed was the battery needed charging more than previous mobile phones I have used. Good luck Heather x
-
-
how do you top up for bbm
-
am not sure as im on contract ring your network provider and they shud be able to tell u
-
-
I've got a Blackberry Pearl, but the ball sticks. I was thinking of getting a Curve for the trackpad, but have heard they can stick too. Have you had any problems?
-
Nope - none to date but my curve is only a month old. So, either due to technical glitches or if enough gunk falls through between the crevices then there is always a possibility that this may happen in the future.
Sorry - not very helpful I'm afraid.
-
ive got a curve and ive had no problem but i hav'nt had mine that long so im not much help either
-
-
If you are pay as you go, do you have to pay for bbm?

-
on pay as you go i think it 5 pound a month for bbm
-
-
Whats a Blackberry data plan?

A blackberry data plan is a package that costs £5 a month and includes blackberry messenger, facebook, twitter etc.
-
-

-

-
YES VERY FAST AT CONNECTING TO THE INTERNET [SORRY CAPS ON] lovely phone good signal, hope this helps

Mine is a pagy, I did a google search, ended up on T Mobile, went into a web chat room and this is the deal I was offered. I did as it is a pagy buy my phone outrightly
-
I'm sorry I can't help you, I think you would need to contact your service provider direct to find out what offers they are currently running. Good luck!
-
-

-
-

-
its free through wifi, and easy with orange dolphin
-
-
Does blackberry messenger come with the pay monthly £10 contract
-
No, it costs an extra £5 a month for the blackberry package.
-
-
if i buy the curve on pay as you go on orange does that dolphin free internet cover facebook and BBM?
-
I only have a blackberry so I do not know about packages excluding my own, I just got asked if once purchased, I'd allow people to ask me questions. I am definitely assuming it covers facebook, but I am on fence about bbm. I assume so.
-
-
You know the blackberry curve 8520 back bit with the blackberry sign to hold the battery in, do u have to buy it seperatly or does it come with the phone? Thanks.
-
It comes with the phone. Thanks
-
-
does this phone have skype on it
-
yes i think so never used it
-
-
is the blackberry really worth its money?
-
i think it is you get all your blackberry chat and different apps to download i had a sony erricson before this phone and wouldnt go back to it love my blackberry
-
-
How much does the Blackberry Curve 8520 cost without the SIM or any contract. I have got a SIM with a contract I am happy with and would just like a new phone. Thank - you. x
-
Hi Libby, thanks for your question but I'm afraid I can't answer it - I got my Blackberry with an upgrade of my present contract with Orange so it didn't cost anything to buy. However, I understand Carphone Warehouse do some good deals - check them for prices. All the best. x
-
hi i also had mine with upgrade but have seen them in littlewoods cat for 179
-
-
Every month do you get any money deducted form your credit to be allowed to use internet and bb messenger??
-
I'm on contract. However, on the subject of internet and Blackberry Messenger, they do seem to just die every now and then for an hour or so.
-
-
Im looking to purchase a Blackberry Curve 8520, but i was just wondering if i was to top up around £10 a month what would i get for this amount and what comes free? Thanks for any help
-
I'm really sorry I can't answer that as I'm on a monthly contract, and I believe the perks are very different to pay as you go. I suggest you talk to Orange as they are very helpful.
-
-
Is it a good phone to have ?????????'cuz im getting 1 for me bday but wasnt sure if it isss good or not!!?? xxxx
-
It's fab, the only thing I was concerned about was the battery life, as I was finding it was needing charge every day, but I think this depends on things like WIFI and the internet, once I had turned the WIFI off, it doesn't need charging nearly as much as it was. Over all I do not regret my decision to opt for a Blackberry 10/10 Full marks!!
-
-
Can you download apps onto the 8250?
-
Yes.
I'd suggest you download Blackberry App World (free) and this shows you hundreds of apps of all different catergories. -
You can have app world and pick various apps.
-
-
Hi. I was wanting to know if the Blackberry Curve 8520 is a good phone? It's just I want to get it and some of my friends are saying that they are rubbish. They are also saying it's very slow. And you can also loose your bbms? Can you get back to me soonish please. Much applied.
-
The balckberry curve is great for your 1sr smart phone. I've had it for a few months now n mainly use it for facebook, bbm, and texting. I can do this all at the same time. Can be slow at times but isn't slow enoguh to bother me that muuch! Tbh I love it :) hahaa
-
-
Heyy, im 14 and ive wanted a blackberry for along time now and people at school are getting them. but people have said that they are rubbish and the scroller freezes and it deletes your contacts and a regular basis :/ if i had a blckberry then it would be on pay as you go and im scared it might break but people who have told me this are people at school and i wanted a better opinion on them can you please help me :) thankss x
-
I love my blackberry. I have never had any problem with the scroller. Mine is a payg and I got a good deal on T mobile with free internet access, but it does pick up your wifi at home. I run a small business so I bought mine for the email facility and the keyboard. I did buy a bag like cover for it with a screen cover on amazon. I have not had any troublere with my contacts either. Hope this helps.
-
I have BlackBerry Curve 8520 on Pay as you go with Orange who had best price. This is second Blackberry and it is very good especially for texting and has good battery life. Not had any problems with scroller nor contacts nor messaging, I keep mine in soft cover with keyboard locked. I would recommend one of these as first Blackberry. Lacks some features of more expensive ones but great value!
-
I have a Blackberry on contract with orange, the old phone di not hold no battery life, with a new Blackberry it goes on for ever.
-
-
does it have wifi on it?
-
Yes it does & works very well!!!
-
-
does the trackpad ever get stuck
-
Mine never has.
-
-
im 15 should i get a blackberry or another phone need a answer urgently.
thanks.
-
what you should be asking is do you need one, if ur into loads of texting and facebook then yeah go for it
-
-
can you download whatsapp?
-
Yeah, but it requires internet so it does cost money.
-
-
is the blackberry messenger free?
-
It's free to download from the app world but to use apps you need a blackberry bolt on which costs money
-
yes it is
-
no i have to pay orange £5 a month
-
-
are these phones good for pictures and internet? x
-
Yes I find mine great for both. You do have to enlarge somethings on internet to read and not as fast as other phones I have had. But I find no fault with minex
-
So far so good. Picture viewing online sometimes can be a bit problematic and take awhile, but other than that I think it is good.
-
-
if you have a t mobile contract sim card will it still work?
-
If you have a t mobile contract sim card , It depends on which tariff you are on and how much of your existing contract you have left. Go on to your service provider site and see other plans that have a Blackberry upgrade.
-
The one I bought is an O2 blackberry so im assuming this will need unlocking to use on tMobile
-
-
Can u download games from any websites on to the bb and how fast would u say the internet connection is
what network gives u free bbm
answer quick-
The 8520 needs to connect via wireless to give best internet speed.
only have experience of orange on this phone.
-
-
are they worth the money ??
-
yes. Its a great phone and I don't regret buying it at all.
-
yh this is my 1st blackberry and i love it
-
-
are they worth the money ??
-
Yes. My son is never off his but the best feature is the Messenger service which is free if texting other blackberry users such as myself, his father and many of his friends.
-
-
How do you get the £5 a month deal where you can get free internet and texts?
-
I am on a dolphin payg package, when I top up by £10 I get 300 free texts and 1gig of Internet. I normally go through my texts in afew days so I buy unlimited texts for a month for a fiver. Hope this is somewhat helpful :p
-
-
Hi
Assume this has BBM? Do you have to pay a monthly subscription? Buying it for my daughter....any comments?-
yes it does have bbm you download it from bb apps i dont have to pay extra as part of my contract
-
i had to pay £5 for my bbm that includes unlimited acess to internet too
-
-
What are the disadvantages of the blackberry Curve
-
I haven't found any major problems with it yet. One little niggle that I have is that if someone texts you that isn't currently in your phone book, there is no way to 'add contact' from the text message. You have to phone the number to enable you to add it as a contact or remember the number and add it manually. I would think the keys maybe a bit small if you have large fingers. I have heard that the battery life is short if you spend lots of time on the 'net - which I don't so it hasn't been a problem for me. Personally, I really like my phone ;-)
-
Nothing really major to report. The only 'fault' could be that the keys are a bit small if you have large hands like me, I need to be careful. Otherwise its great. the battery life on mine is far superior to my old nokia N8 I only need to charge it every other day. Overall a great bit of kit!
-
Also, I've found that texts, Facebook messages or notifications in general, can become duplicated in the 'Messages' folder, rendering the phone unable to send a message or delete the duplicates.
-
-
which is better blackberry curve 8900 or the blackberry curve 8520? because i have the 8900 and that isnt going well?
-
1st time iv had a blackberry so could'nt say mines 8520! still cant activate my bb pin defo would not recommend!
-
-
if i buy a blackberry, will i have to pay for bbm?
-
Nope bbm just requires an internet connection, nothin more and its totally free of charge! I talk on there like all the time 24/7 and it don't cost me a dime! Just nake sure u coonect ur phone to a wireless router as it speeds up how fast ur bb msgs go through and ur internet! Instead of usin ur phone internet witch is really slow!
-
-
will my phone work in USA?
This is urgent as I leave tomorrow-
it should do but just check with the network provider first and remember that calls will cost quite a bit more hope this helps
-
-
Hi, will my blackberry curve work in the USA, this is urgent as I leave tomorrow.
-
Hey bob, the curve is multi regional. But blackberry data plans made charge extra for foreign roaming. You would have to check with your service provider as to what they offer in terms of deals and packages.
-
-
Hi, I've heard a lot of people saying that the BlackBerry Curve 8520 has bad battery life and was wondering if thats in general or only if you use the internet all the time, and if so how often do you have to charge it? Thanks
-
hi, I am only comparing to my old phone which I only had to charge once every 3 days but my blackberry has to be charged nearly every day but in saying that I do use my blackberry alot more than I do my old phone. as my old phone did not have email or apps. it is not a major problem with the blackberry and would recommend one to whoever was thinking of buying one. hope this helps.
-
My battery only ever needs charged every other day, and thats with constant use! I won't say that the battery life was "bad" per say, but I wouldn't say it was "amazing" either... But when you weigh everything up about this phone-Thats it's only real "con", and I can def live with that!!! I'd be lost without my Blackberry now-I LOVE it!!! Best phone I've ever had!!!
I hope that has helped, even a little?? If you have any more questions, please-Feel free to ask away ;)
Take care ;) xxx

-
I just got my BB and only thing that isn't working is sending and receiving calls and texts ive no wifi but thought could use it the normal way too with my network is that true?, im on orange PAYG and have purchased the bis, everything else works fine , does anyone know what needs to be done? thank you .
-
It sounds as though your sim card needs registering correctly. Have you contacted orange customer services. You don't need wi fi you should just be able to use it on ordinary orange network. Good luck. Peter.
-
-
I'm on T-mobile and i want to get a blackberry pay as you go, do i have to pay for bbm and internet, e.g. facebook, twitter?, xx
-
Yes and no, I am on a contract that includes 50mb of internet so I can access the internet but it doesnt include the blackberry services which is BBM and I cant download apps because I dont have this. There may be an add on you can get, I enquired on my contract and it's an extra £5 per month. Hope this helps!
-
-

-
what does internet booster mean?
-
i think it gives you a stronger connection to the internet, but not 100% sure
-
-
Does BBM Come Free With Every Blackberry 8520 On Orange And What Games Does Blackberry Offer?
-
As far as I know you have to have a blackberry bolt on to get anything blackberry on any network, so while its free to download you still have to pay for the bolt on every month. I think this is on any network but you should check with Orange.
My blackberry came with brick break and other simple games like that but if you go on the app world you can download hundreds of other games like solitaire, hangman and more.
-
-
do u get free internet on the blackbery curev? :)
-
No, i pay for a blackberry bundle so i can use the internet
-
-

How long does a blackberry last and does it scratch easily? Thankyou:)
-
Hii. I haven't had mine very long but I use a silicone cover, normally I scratch and damage my phones easily but my BB hasn't got a mark on it :) I drop it quite a lot and it seems to be indestructible :p so no, it doesn't scratch easily :) hope this helps
-
-
Hi i want 2 no wat is pin someone said it was sometin 2

-
-
I'm on T-Mobile PAYG and just bought BB on Orange from a friend, should I switch providers or have BB unlocked. I want to use it for email/internet but am worried about how expensive it will be, ie does it drain your credit just by having these facilities switched on? Anyone recommend best provider/monthly contract option. Have Virgin Media landline/TV/Broadband if that has any bearing on it. Thanks
-
hmmm i not sure on this 1 i am with orange n have no probs signal is good always connected with facebook n bb pin. but on hol on weekend mate was with virgin on contract with same model n had no coverage whats so eva so i wouldnt recommend that she was really frustrated.. your home broadband etc doesnt make diff to phone hope this has helped
-
-
I am on £10 month contract, but would like to receive photos - not send any. However, do I need an extra "bundle" to be able to do this? thank you.
-
Hi Jill,
Have got my BB on pay as you go, i'm afraid i dont know the answer. Sorry.
-
-
does this have fee bbm on pay as u go on dolphin £10 top up

-
-

Personally my bb curve is the best phone I've eva had! As far as the internet goes if u get it out on contract u wouldn't have to worry usin the phones internet useage if u have broad band u can connect ur phone to that! I think the design perosnally for me is awesome! I love the fact u can customize it with the cases I have a playboy one for mine! U can have ur emails set up on ur phone! 2 me its got an amazing speaker on the top! Blackberry app world has loads of apps! Only down side is that most of the apps arnt free but some of them are! The querty keypad is awesome! My first phone wit one of those lol! And over all its just an amazin phone! I wouldn't b without mine! Anything else u wanna knw just ask away :) xx

-
Yes but had to download facebook first using blackberry app world but if I remember right twitter was already on the phone, hope this helps
-
I only have facebook but it was easy to download on blackberry app but the twitter sign was on the main menu so imagine that its on there .
-
-
Just wondering what the SMS style is like on the bb curve on orange on pay monthly please!!!!!!!!! thanks
-
Almost identical to that of the iphone 4 sms style! Lists texts by coversation so its almost like using bbm! You can also make texts as big as you like without having to send multiple texts which is great.
-
-
When You Buy The Blackberry Do You Get Free BBM With It?
-
No usually you have to pay per month about £5, some companies like tmobile give you a choice of extras - BBM is one of their extras. I would say that if your mates are on bbm you need less texts in your package so it kind of pays for itself cos your monthly contract is less. I pay for 4 blackberrys the cheapest contract includes bbm for 15 per month - t mobile
-
I'm with Orange and my BBM is free. I had to download the app but don't I get charged for it on my contract.
-
-
okay i have another qustion in bbm is it free to send a text from that if it is another blackberry so if i sent a message to another blackberry is it free cuz it is blackberry to blackberry :D
-
It doesn't cost anything to send messages from BBM (it's only available on blackberry anyway so it doesn't make it any cheaper!) but it costs to get BBM in the first place
-
It doesn't cost anything to send messages bbm (with blackberry to blackberry)
-
-
does the internet on the blackberry???? if so how much is it a month?????
-
I put a blackberry bolt-on on my phone with O2 its about £6 per month then its free BBM and a large amount of internet access
-
depends i get free internet on mine depends wat tariff ur on .
-
-
does the internet on the blackberry???? if so how much is it a month?????
-
Only if you connect through wireless hotspot.
I dont know monthly cost as I am on PYG. -
I have a payg and the deal with T mobile was free internet for 6 months so I can't answer that. It does use your home wifi though, so using it at home will be fine. It does pick up emails when I am out, plus facebook ebay etc. It is a very nice phone
-
-
is the only way to get bbm to pay £5 a month?
i know people who pay £25 every 6 months for bbm ?
do you know does this ?
thanks-
the best person to ring is your network provider as only some networks do the £25 every 6 months,
thanks i hope this helps
-
-
On my current phone I have orange dolphin and when i top up £10 then I get 300 free texts and free internet for a month.
Can I join orange dolphin if I were to get this phone?
Would the free internet (from orange dolphin) let me use blackberry messenger for free?-
if you buy your phone from orange you will be able to get orange dolphin on the phone unless the phone is open to all networks.
I would think that your free internet would include blackberry messenger but i suggest if you have any doubts ask at the phone shop when you buy your phone...hope this has helped. -
I totally understand where you are coming from, because I was on orange, and had that same tariff! When I got my Blackberry I got it from T-Mobile, and also signed up with them for a contract (meaning that my Blackberry was 100% free. You HAVE to pay for your Blackberry if you want to stay on “Pay as you go”, and they can be pretty pricey).
I compared all the costs & benefits involved, and having a contract works out WAY cheaper!!! The call costs are a lot lower, and I have so many benefits that make it 100% more worthwhile.
You already know what you get free every month on Dolphin, and how much that costs you-But you’ll need to add on the price of your new phone-Which will be pretty expensive…
On my T-Mobile contract I get-
*100 free any network minutes
*Unlimited, any network texts
*Unlimited internet usage
*Unlimited Blackberry messenger
*Free email
*Free Blackberry
All of that costs me £20 a month, which is very good value for money!!!
If £20 is too much for you, you can go on the £15 a month tariff, and with that you will get-
*Free Blackberry
*100 any network minutes
*100 any network texts
*Free email & Blackberry Messenger
I hope that might have helped you out a little?? If not, please get back to me & I’ll try my best to answer anymore questions that you may have ;)
Take care, Alana xxx

-
is the silver colour nice and how do you add contacts on blackberry messenger
-
HI Jac,
Mine is black so wouldnt know the colour. All you need is the other persons BBM pin or you can give your pin to them (which you set up easily when u start the phone) and its as simple as that!
-
-
On orange Pay As You Go, how much is BBM, is it free, or will i need a separate package for that?
-
Im on t-mobile, but i believe that to use BBM it is £5 per month extra to buy a "booster" that allows internet access and BBM use.
-
Yes £5 a month on pay as you go, on Orange
-
-
On pay as you go, do you have to pay for the internet separately, even if you are using Dolphin on Orange? And does this include BBM, ot will i have to pay for that separately?
-
BBM costs £5 a month to use on pay as you go and internet is either included in Dolphin or it comes out of your credit.
-
-
Do you get bbm on pay as you go?
-
im not PAYG Im on contract
-
-
Hi, I'm looking to buy a blackberry curve 8520, and i was wondering, can i watch bbc player, 4od, you tube etc out of a wifi area, so just on the internet on the phone deal?
if you could help me out, that'd be great. thank you.-
Hii. I just tried going on to the bbc player and it does not support the programme, I am afraid I haven't found any websites that the video player actually works on, I use my iPod Touch for those tasks, sorry about that tho.
-
-
hi does every black berry moddles have this option when you go to places can you check in like when you go to the cinama check in like it tells people you have gone to the cinama and it shows it where you are and shows a map where u are too
-
not something i have come across on mine.
-
No, this model is not like that as far as I am aware.
-
-
Are Blackberry's any good with memory?
-
I think so I've downloaded loads of stuff and not had a problem
-
yeah they are fine for memory there is a way to check how much memory space you have left if you do not have a memory card in the phone, for instance if you download loads of songs just go into media folder then press the bitton next to the green phone scroll down to memory use and it will show you what you have used and what is left. hope this helps
-
-
Is 500mb of internet alot/ I only really go on Facebook so browsing and Youtube isnt a big thing for me thanks!!??
-
500mb is practically unlimited. Aslong as you stick to the bb facebook application then 500mb will be perfect. Suitable for basic apps, just don't use the browser too muc as that uses plenty of data!!
-
-
Is BBM pre-installed onto the BlackBerry 8520?
-
No you will need to dowload it - but you can do that for free from Blackberry App World.
-
No you have to download the application from blackberry app world (this is pre installed) loads more apps from them like facebook ebay translators etc
-
-

-
I find it easy to use you can reply to text messages quickly but be careful not to press the enter button as it sends the message. I have found the battery life ok not been on the internet yet have found the bluetooth hard to master not been able to recieve or send anything from my old phone.

i was thinking about getting a blackberry because my current phone is an LG KS360 and it keeps going off at random moments, but im a little confused. Im currently on o2 and i have £10 credit. if i got a blackberry at currys would i have to buy a new sim and everything. Can I just buy the phone itself or do I have to get a sim aswell? thanks. also is it easy to use? is the blackberry messenger free or do u have to pay for it? lol like i said im confused. one last thing: is the app store bookmarked like it is on the iphone/ipod touch/ipad? thank you.
-
Hi Emily,
Firstly, if the phone is sim free, then i guess you choose which provider you go with. I'm with orange, they have good pay as you go packages, free internet etc. The Blackberry is incredibly easy to use, and yes BB messenger is free, but you would pay £5.00p for BB internet service, which then gives you access to messenger. App store is bookmarked, but i'm not incredibly impressed with the apps, it's a different operating system, not quite as good as iphone, but i'm not interested in apps. Blackberry is a very nice phone for facebook and tweeting and internet browsing, texting and music, it synchs with your i player.
Hope this helps,
Peter

-
Can i use bbm on pay as you go if i have more than £5 credit
-
Sorry but I can't help answer this as I am on a contract - hope you manage to find the answer

-
hi could you buy a blackberry curve on pay as you go then put a contract chip in then would it get bbm still and internet
-
yes it should do but you may have to download the blackberry messenger app, or contact your network provider or blackberry if you have any problems
-
I’m not 100% sure, but I think you’d need to buy it on the same network as your contract-as 99% of phones these days are locked to sim cards that are not by that network ;)
My advice to you is to get it on contract-That way you won’t have to pay ANYTHING for it! I got my Blackberry free along with my contract from T-Mobile-If you do it that way you won’t have to pay for the Blackberry at all ;)
Let me know how you get on??
xxx
-
-
how much internet do you get with the cheapest contract for this phone ??
-
unlimited access, but fair use applies also you can buy monthly booster for £5.10 for extra items
-
-
If some one has a tex will the butten on the top flash?
-
Hi Tia
I don't know but what I do know is that a star is attached to the contacts icon and a little text icon with a star appears at the top of the screen.
-
-
is black berry any good ?
-
yes its ok not as good as i fort tho !!!!!
-
I love mine. I probably don't use it to it's fullest capacity but for all the basics like text, calls, emails, photo's etc it's so easy and maybe it's a woman thing but I just love that it's a violet colour ;)
-
-
I'm getting a blackberry curve and I justy wanted to know that, if you sign to dolphin 15 does it include BBM and if so is it unlimited?
-
You will need the blackberry package which gives you bbm with it. This costs an extra £5
-
no on contract it does not cost me extra it is all included, I checked this when orange gave me a call after a few days.
-
-
How do you set up an internet connection on the phone for when I'm not at home using the WiFi? I should get 250mb of internet with my contract but I can't connect to the browser. Also I don't have to option to set up my own email account, only the option to add an enterprise account.
-
Liam I have got exactly the same problem. I am going to go into the orange shop and ask someone in there what to do. Sorry I can't be more helpful. I do like the phone but after lots of attempts I still can't set up e mail, browse the web or access facebook which I did want to do. I thought it was just me!
-
-
How Do You Get Bbm, Is It Included In Credit, Or SomeThing Completly Different???? Help

what is BlackBerry Mail is that BlackBerry Messenger or something else??
-
I think that might be another name for your regular email that gets sent to your phone. Very handy when I'm out and I get an important email that needs to be replied to fast.
-
It is blackberry messenger. Did you know if you have family and friends with blackberry. You can connect to them, and its free.hope this helps.

I haven't heard of it, I'm pretty sure it will either by access to your email account or just the bbm.
-

I am wondering what a blackberry is good for but also what is the best age for a blackberry? I am really confused also about the tariff and how it works if i top up 15 pound a mounth £5 will go to the plan thing and the £10 will gotowards calls and internet use?
-
almost anything is available with blackberry. some websites you cant get everything or do everything but it is a good handy piece of equipment for keeping up to date with most things
-
-
I have around 200 contacts I want to copy from my sony ericson w595 to my blackberry 8520, how do I do this? Also I have payg on Orange, will I be able to get internet access for free?
-
copying contacts is a pain in the bottom from a non blackberry phone it takes as long as doing it manually
-
-
What is the best, and most economical way to send and receive calls and emails while abroad (worldwide) using the Blackberry.
-
Speak to your provider because they often have packages to help cut down the costs.
-
-
Hi was just wondering whether you would recommend it to any age group in particular?
-
Good for all age groups, it's more about using the capabilities, for example, e mail, and the twitter & facebook access.
-
Well i wanted a phone with a qwerty keypad don't like touch phones I'm still trying to work it out but i think any age group can use it
-
-
is it true that in orange monkey bbm is for free
-
dont know dont use it
-
-
What is BBM and do you get it free? x
-
bbm is instant messages to and from your bbm contacts, its great as it is unlimited
-
-
Wheres the cheapest place to get a BlackBerry Curve 8520he moment?
-
it all depends if you want contract or pay as you go, contract the phone is free, pay as you go the cheapest i have seen is Orange shop priced at £129.99 ..
-
-
How do you use the BBM and do you have to pay to use it?
-
Hi Hannah,
Firstly, what is your contract?
Secondly, you need to download BBM from Blackberry App world!
If you download if and you find that it isnt working, I suggest you ring up orange, they were very helpful in solving my problems when I encountered them.
Hope this helps
-
-
if you get it on contract do you get bbm free?
-
I guess it depends on your individual contract?
-
got it on pay as u go, bbm is free
-
-
I want to purchase a PAY AS YOU GO BLACKBERRY 8520,someone has told me that blackberry take £5.00 everytime you use an app or download an app,is this true....????
-
A lot of the apps are free but there are some you have to buy but the price is next to it to chose. Facebook ebay twitter etc is free.
-
-

-
Hi, it has 250 minutes 5000 texts & 500 mb a month, £20 a month on tesco mobile. :))
-
-
how many texts has it got how many mins has it got how much internet can u use x
-
depends on your package with supplier.x
-
orange offer awesome deals. 15-20 quid a month will get you unlimited texts, 300-500 mins and near enough unlimited internet.. Plus this phone free
-
-
i i'm hoping to get the blackberry curve 8520 on a orange pay monthly for £10 per month. Does this include BBM and internet accsess at all times? please anwer this, it would be so helpful! thank you x
-
I'm not sure as I'm on T-mobile but i have a great monthly package for £20 a month, unlimited internet/BBM, free minutes, unlimited texts.
I'm sorry i couldn't answer about orange.
-
I'm on contract on orange and as far as I know on pay as u go to be able to use the services like bbm, facebook, msn etc.. U need to have a bolt on wicth u also pay for. I wouldn't know really as like I said I'm on contract! I am tellin u this based on what I have heard from some of my friends!, but if ur gettin it on contract then you will b able to use any if the above and more! Things like bbm will not cost u anything if u connect ur bb to a wireless internet as that's something I always do because I use bbm quiet a bit! Hope this is hpful to you!
-
-
i want a blackberry but i dont know who go convince my mum. What would you say gets the best deals nd best features
-
its got everything you will possibly need easy to use and theres so many good deals out there some start from £10 a month, try vodafone orange and o2 they all have excellent deals but if you want payg then check ebay you may just get a bargain hope this helped, thanks
-
Blackberry in my opinion is the best. Great quality and great value for money. I have had so many different phones and do not regret this purchase for a second. There are so many good deals right now, T'mobile and 3 have great deals. Good luck and I am sure your mum will realise this is the best option x
-
It is a good phone to have and u can get some good deals with minutes and internet usage.
-
-
what plan should i select
-
i ve got e of these phones for my daughters, i selected tmobile for 2 and orange for the other. we use blackberry messenger which is usually £5 per month extra but all messages between are free. we also use the internet on these phones so you should have that too. cheapest contract we've got is t mobile £15 per month - hope that helps!
-
i'm with orange and pay £20 per month for 200mins and unlimited text messages and internet - i have Blackberry messenger and do not get charged anything for this with orange.
-
-
do i have to buy a blackberry add on like you do when on o2 or does it all come as a complete package??
-
it should come as part of a package, as either a free internet booster, you would have to check with O2.
-
-
I live in spain will i be able to unlock this phone and connect to my house wi-fi?
-
I would have thought so - I can connect to my home WIFI in the UK but you are best checking with your supplier
-
I don't think that would be a problem, but check with whoever you buy it from, to be safe ;) x
-
-
how do you get internet
-
You have to ask your service provider to activate it. It will cost you £5.00.
You can use the wi fi feature as well which is free, you can link it to a hub or anywhere there is free wi fi you will be able to connect to it. You may want to activate you Blackberry messenger service as well.
-
-
does it have BBM (Blackberry Messenger)
-
yes it does
-
-
how good are the Black Berry Curve 8520 phones i want one but i heard they break is it true??
-
Hi
I bought it for my 11 year old son who is a bit clumsy and had no problems with breaks or anything!!!
-
-
is the quality of the music great and what is it like for ease of use please reply soon as i am getting it in 18 days :)
-
yeah it is pretty good, rather loud but it depends on what sort of music your playing :)
-
-
hi, well if i get the blackberry on the orange network will my blackberry messenger come free and will the inter net come free too ? Help mee !x
-
I'm sorry I don't know the answer to that. I'm with T-Mobile and I get the internet free with my package but I'm on a contract. I don't use BBM but my son does and he pays an extra £5.00 a month to use BBM but then he's a pay as you go customer so I'm guessing it depends on what package Orange offer and what type of customer you are.
-
I shopped around and found that orange gave you less in their network packages and found that T-Mobile gave the best deals and these depended on what package offer you were taking out
-
-
Hey, I'm debating on weather to purchase this phone, do you think I should get it? but i'm only aloud it on PAYG! So how the hell can i get Unlimited Texts and a decent amount of internet? :S
I'm quite confused.. gunna get it next week so... :/-
Shaun, I have no knowledge of payg, I am on a monthly contract with Orange, so get a decent amount of free calls and texts, I am not a heavy user of either. It is a nice phone though. Sorry I cannot be of more help.
Regards,
Barry.
-
-
BBM is free on what networks ?
and i hurd that blackberrys have alot of faults is that true?-
BBM is usually included as a compulsory add on with most providers making it included in the contract, on PAYG you usually have to pay around £5 a month for BB services (BBM, email etc). Blackberry's have no more duds and faults than anybody else, ive not had a problem with either of the two ive had over three years. Most iPhone owners will discredit Blackberries it seems.
-
ive never had a problem with mine.
bbm you can use to other blackberry users regardless of what network they are on and you usually pay £5 extra a month for the blackberry services including your personal email address if you wish to add this on
-
-
BBM is free on what networks ?
and i hurd that blackberrys have alot of faults is that true?-
Up to now I have only used t-mobile, Orange and the local free hotspots. But also works fine at home with any wireless system. Up to now I cant fault it.
-
I have had a blackberry for 6 months and mine has had no faults. Bbm isn't free on any network but you can get it included in the contract.
-
Nor can I. Its easy and quick to reach someone, not only by text or ringing them but also by facebook. Also by emailing where ever you might be. I am glad I am not the only who is not disappointed or find any fault.
-
I don't know what BBM is. I have a signal fault on my 2 month old Blackberry but it is being replaced by next day delivery.
-
-
do i need to buy this blackberry curve 8520 with £20 top-up online or only in store? and will i get 6 month free internet & email
-
Best deal is on Virgin pay monthly at £10.21 a month. If You buy on orange or O2 PAYG then you pay for blackberry services at £5 a month - it is taken from your call balance very 30 days. The only company I know that used to give 6 months free internet was T-Mobile - don't know if they still do
-
Sorry Sam I don't know the answer to that question. My Blackberry came free with my 24month contract with Orange. It costs £20 to £25 a month with unlimited texts, 600 minutes talk time and unlimited internet browsing. To be perfectly honest with you it's not a great deal as I can't access e mails and the battery life on this phone is poor. Good luck!
-
-
hi i have been reading on some reviews that the bluetooth dose not work on the 8520 is this true
-
ive never had this problem with mine it works great
-
i dont have any issues with the bluetooth at all
-
-

if you could please get back to me about this i'm really not sure about it thanks-
yes the bbm is free, the 8520 doesn't have 3g
-
-
hi there i was thinking about getting 1 of these blackberry curve 8520 and i wasn't sure if it had 3g and if the bbm was free
if you could please get back to me about this i'm really not sure about it thanks-
Not sure about 3g but bbm is free to download but you cannot use it unless you have a blackberry bolt on with your network
-
-
do i need a special blackberry package to use bbm, internet and apps
-
No you don't, once you have ur blackberry, all you have to do whis call your network and subscribe to blackberry service. There is a price for this and shd not be more than a fiver.
-
-
do you need internet to go on bbm ?
-
bbm is the same as instant messaging on facebook
etc so yeah u do -
yes you do you need to go on to blackberry app world and download it
-
yup you sure do
-
-
so is blackberry messenger free? Or do u have to pay for it?
-
It's free
-
you pay for blackberry services as part of package but it is unlimited free use after that
-
-
I have been offered this phone but it is on Orange. If I was to unlock it and use my current pay as you go sim card would I be able to use BBM? I receive unlimited texts and internet if I top up £10 a month currently.
-
I don't do bbm but my son does he puts ten pound a month on he gets texts and bbm hope that answers ur question
-
-
hi , if you buy a blackberry in tesco's do they give you a sim card or do you have to buy it yourself ?
-
absolutely no idea, i would imagine with any phone they give u a sim card, can you not ask? they are cheap to buy or o2 give u some for free!
-
-
Can you get BBM on a orange pay monthly deal?
-
Yes you get BBM,which costs nothing, as well as SMS, MMS & send/receive your Emails. Also unlimited internet access for £15 a month. Oh & the phone for free of course.
-
yep no problem
-
i think so but not possitive, you should call the orange advisers they will help you with any quetions you have
-
-
what are the downsides to this fone ??. x
-
You need good eyesight to be able to see the keys. If your not up to date with technology it can be a bit difficult to get used to all the applications on the phone.
-
the only down side i found it that it can take some time to load up applications
-
-
i am getting a blackberry for my birthday does it frezze all the time
do you have to download bbm-
Yes you do have to download it but its quite straight forward once you've got the blackberry app world. mine would freeze for a while when it was loading things like texts but i don't have a problem with it anymore
-
-
i am getting a blackberry for my birthday does it frezze all the time
do you have to download bbm-
Not had any problems at all. I have found it a really good phone.
-
-

-
-

-
Bbm is chargable at a flat rate of five pounds per month.
-
-

-
Not totally sure bout the time as have unlimited with my plan, but it does have space for a memory card
-
-

-
Hi I couldn't tell ya as I have unlimited internet with my contract sorry your best to ring your network and they will be able to tell you

-
hi
when i add my friends on bbm they don't get my invitation.
and i don't have a email setting icon i only have enterprise service but i don't have the password :(
-
That happened to me, I just phoned up the Orange customer services and they set it up, I am payg so it takes 5 quid a month off for Blackberry Internet. It means any internet time is free (facebook, youtube ... All free). Hope that helps :)
-
I'm struggling with email too, call 150 from your phone and they will help you.
-
-
i really want a blackberry but i have 2 get it on pay as you go is it still worth getting one and r they easy 2 use????????????//
-
My blackberry has been the best investment I have made. I would've thought there wouldn't be any difference on PAYG.
-
If I can use a blackberry, anyone can!! They are very easy to use.
-
-
which black berry is better the curve or the pearl
-
I'm afraid i've only used the curve but it's easier to use than i thought it be as it looks quite complicated at first glance.
-
I find the curve is the best.
-
-
which black berry is better the curve or the pearl
-
I've not had a Pearl so can't tell you which is better but I'd look at the price and if the Curve is cheaper go with it as it does everything you could possibly need!
-
-
well.
iime getting a blackberry curve 8520 i was wondering just how good they were i have always wantesd one and i love the BM :)
i hope u can do this fast
thankkyou sophie:)-
Hi I use my Blackberry curve all day every day, I use it for work and personal use. The BM is very good as you can use it all the time at no extra cost as long as your friends and/or family have a Blackberry. The camera is very good and take clear pictures and can be uploaded straight away to any social network site. I would advice to get a good cover for it to protect it. The apps are also very good, I have even uploaded a few books to read, even though the screen is a bit small.
-
Myself, my daughter and partner all have blackberry's, we all like them and I'm so glad I finally got one! I find I can do loads on it compared to the other phone I had! I would defnately recommend getting one. Hope you love yours as much as I love mine lol hope this helped

-
-

-
The curve is a good phone but i personally prefer the blackberry bold
-
-
Hi, I was thinking about purchasing the blackberry curve and I was wondering if the battery life was a real problem with the phone? and is it better to get a Iphone rather than a Blackberry? Thanks
-

I have a pay as you go plan with t-mobile by where i top up £10 and the next month i get free unlimited internet and texts and i still keep the £10. If i were to buy this phone and put my existing sim card into it would i then have to buy a bbm thing or would it work with my unlimited internet? but i cannot seem to find a bbm thing for pay as you go only on contract with t-mobile? x
-
I'm not sure about t-mobile as i'm on pay as you go vodafone and i pay £5 per month for bbm internet. Sorry i cant help maybe you should try t-mobile to see if they do it but i should think that you could use the package you are on.
-
-
I am on a contract with orange but i am going to get a bb, is there any way i can put the bb on my old contract and get bbm?
-
I don't know, I can't see why not though. Best ask Orange.
-
-
on the wesite how do you change the colour
-
Sorry. No idea! I'm not that advanced. I'd contact Blackberry direct for that kind of detail. Sorry!
-
-
hiya, im going to get a blackberry violet 8520 and its o2, im going to unlock it and put t-mobile sim in it but do i have free bbm and internet or do i have to pay for those??? thanks.
-
depends what contract you go for. on orange, payg, bbm is £5 month with free internet.
-
-
say you bought the blackberry 8520 on pay as you go would you still have to pay 5.00 a month to use blackberry messenger?
Also when you buy the blackberry would you get bored or tired of it within the next week or 2 ?
Thank you-
All the plans we have are contract so not sure about first bit, but bbm is usually extra.
We've had 4 of these phones in the family for over a year now and we're not bored yet - key thing is are your mates on blackberry? -
It is extra but mobile phone companies will usually just include your bbm charge with the cost of the contract, not affecting the price... I got 300 mins, unlimited texts for 20 quid, and they through in unlimited internet and bbm for pretty much no charge... search around and inquire!!
-
-
Does the Blackberry Vurve 8520 freeze upa t times because ive got friends that say it does.. i dont know what to do??? ¬¬
-
Mine occassionaly freezes, but this is usually only when you use a new app for the first time.
-
yes it does but overall the phone is worth having even though this prob is there. however the freezing is only now and again so i can put up with it> hope this helps :)
-
-
Would i need to have email and the internet on my pay monthly contract to access blackberry messenger?
-
no no email needed or internet . messenger is separate .
-
-
if i get this phone will i have made the right choice? i am going for the dolphin 15 package and have an lg cookie at the moment so what im saying is will it be an upgrade or not. also, once you sign up to the 24mth contract do you have to stick with it or can you quit.
-
Hii. Firstly, my mum upgraded from a cookie to a blackberry and she prefers it, I love the ease of using it to text. As for the contract, I am on payg, so I can't help you there I am afraid :s hope this helps
-
-
Is it a good phone? And does it have good games on it? The reason being is,I like play on my phone in long car journys and I easerly get bord so that is why I would like to know! Thank you! :]

Great phone, I don't download any games, the ones on the phone already are ok. Highly recommend :-)
-
Has some good games already on it. Downside is to load any new ones you have to be connected via wireless setup.
-
-
I want go to my country on holidays, basically I go there in that sunday [ it is 14.08.2011] what I have to do if I want simlock, because my phone is blocked. Please about quick answer, thank you.
-
ring your network provider as they have to deal with simlock etc they should be able to do it all for you. thanks
-
I agree with Jodie
-
-
Is it any good for a 13 year old girl?
-
It is!! I know from my own daughter (who is almost 8) how quickly they pick things up, so a 13 year old will def have no issues with it at all ;) Im 29 & it took me a bit to get used to, but I'd never go back to iPhone now-My Blackberry is amazing, and literally does everything!!! The only down side is the battery-It does need charged every night, but im sure that they will address that problem with future models :)
I hope that's helped, even a little??
Many thanks & take care,
Alana xxx -
Hi Heledd, I'd say not as the functions are quite technical although with adult guidance it may be ok. There are different phones with similar features that may be a better starting point. Touchscreen for example. The main feature for me with a blackberry is receiving e mails. Otherwise they are quite a weighty phone. My 16yr old son says he wouldn't have got his head round it or even needed facebook or twitter when he was 13. Hope that helps ps my son says to look at the samsung models.
-
Yep, my 9 year old girl loves it! Figured out how it all worked in minutes
-
-
My daughter has a 8520 on orange pay as you go with £5 blacberry but can't use facebook to check in, staff told her it does not have gps.
-
my Blackberry is on contract and has GPRS i think the pay as you go doesnt cover the facebook as this on the internet part, can your daughter get wifi????.....if so she should be able to connect. re check with Orange customer services for definate....
-
-

-
Sure, most shops have people who can set up your phone for you - I am not the most confident IT user but it is very easy to set up.
I am contract but a friend of mine who is PAYG can access fb, bbm and extras.
hope this helps
-

-
You'd have to check with the person you buy if from as to what your contract entitles you to. I bought mine online, but I haven't had an problems setting mine up.
-
-
have u got the blackberry curve's bbm free?
-
hi,
No you have to add blackberry services to your contract i was told in Vodafone thats an extra £5 per month.
I havent got it as i thought as I already have unlimited texts it wont matter but you cant downloads 'apps' such as facebook without these services. You can still use the wifi to log onto facebook but takes longer!
Hope this helps
Sam -
BBM's service is free, however the data needed to use the service is not free, you either need an internet booster or pay an extra £5 a month on Pay-As-You-Go.
-
-
what is number to network provider ?
-
150 from your mobile phone
-
-
Overall is the blackberry curve good and worth the money ?
-
Yes it is good and I'm learning more each time I use it. It's not as complicated to use as I thought it might be at first glance but it is a bit different to other's i've had. As for value yes as it allows you to do more than you can with many others.
-
-
Does the BlackBerry Curve 8520 have a WEBCAM, On the front?
-
No, no web cam.
-
Linzi is right, no web cam.
-
-
Does the BlackBerry Curve 8520 have a WEBCAM, On the front?
-
No only an ordinary camera on the back.
-
-
cos im on dolphin pay as you go so i get 300 free txts and 100 mg intenret for 10 pounds a month so when i get my blackberry will i have to pay 15 pound plus 5 pound for bbm and 10 pound for the same stuff i allready have? also is bbm use internet or is it seprate cos i have 100 gb so will they get used up if im on bbm?x.
-
I don`t know about your Dolphin contract. But you can use the net.
-
-
Does the blackberry have its own app store?
-
Not sure to be honest
-
-
um i wont a black berry on o2 or vodephone and on the £13.50 monthly one dose the bbm come wid it and the internet?
-
Blackberry messenger and Internet costs the companies £5 a month, so it would be unlikely unless the amount of minutes and texts is very small. The only company I know for sure that does a deal with everything at that sort of price is Virgin Media.
Don't know if you are aware that most companies (Orange, O2, Vodaphone & T-mobile) offer full blackberry services for £5 a month on Pay as you Go. I have always found O2 the most helpful provider to deal with but their coverage is not as good as Orange or Vodaphone.
-
-
Is it worth it because alot of my friends phones are not working after a couple of months of having them? and which one would you say is better blackberry cure or blackberry torch?
Thanks Yours Sincerly K.O'Brien-
I HAVE HAD THE BLACKBERRY CURVE FOR LAST 6 MONTHS AND LOVE IT!!! NOT HAD ANY BOTHER WITH IT !
-
-
can you get to social networking sites easy like facebook
-
facebook is very easy to use on the blackberry
-
yes, you can get on facebook and other web sites like you tube etc.
-
yes thats the main reason I bought blackberry, its fantastic for social networking and internet browsing.
-
-
Morning :)
Can u completely turn off the internet?? cos i don't need the internet!-
I'm not sure
Sorry about this phone, has I use the internet but I have been told u can!! -
I don't think you cam send emails without the internet, in which case this may be a waste of money
-
There is an option to stop looking for wifi in the network options. But without the internet you cannot use bbm, and Blackberrys are designed to be internet and email based phones and it is pointless and a waste of money without it.
-
-
can u completely turn off the internet!?
SORRY I NEED TO KNOW NOW! sorry to be a pain!! :D-
Yes it is easy to do I have mine off at the moment.I manage conections you can turn on or off internet or bluetooth easy just the click of a button
-
Yes its in the connexions setting you can turn your internet bluetooth and network on and off
-
-
you know free wifi?! would that be in your home? what else does that consist off?!
PLEASE this is urgent! :( :)
-
yes the free wifi would be from my wifi at home, but if you are somewhere else with free wifi it can also be picked up on the phone, then you can use it unlimited, because if you go over your minutes you will be charged. Hope this answers your question.
-
-
Hi, i want to get the Blackberry Curve 8520, where could i get it for under £120 pounds, i need to stay on tmobile,
thx
x-

-
-
hi i am a full time mum but was thinking of getting a bberry tho i wud only need it for my emails on the run do u think i sure get one or not
-
i would say yes this phone is so simple to ue and makes sending/reieving emails a lot easier.
-
-
how do u get a data plan
-
ask your phone carrier about them, depending on whether you have a contract or pay as you go they should be able to add it to your phone.
-
-
what is bbm?
-
blackberry messenger- instant messaging between blackberries at no extra cost to contract
-
Can message other blackberry users for free.
-
-
do you get bbm with the phone and do you recomend me getting a blackberry curve
-
Yes u do get bbm and yes I do recomend the blackberry
-
Yes and yes
-
-
Is it touch screen and does it cost you to use the internet
-
Not touch screen. I pay a fixed price per month whichj includes internet
-
No it's not touch screen but the newer Torch model is. If you get it on contract then you get internet usage included - I'm with Orange & pay £15 a month for 100 mins call time, 500 sms & unlimited internet.
If you go Pay as you go then going on the Dolphin tariff will get you internet. But BBM will be a bolt on extra doing it this way. -
a bb 8520 isnt touch screen, only the bb torch is. it will cost you internet usage if you are pay as u go, on a contract u will have it included, make sure u check ur networks t&c's, i have a contract wiv orange and have never gone over my usage
-
-
I want to buy the BB Curve 8520 a pay as you go phone. Can I free to use applications like Facebook,Yahoo Messenger, and BBM via Wifi?
And what's the difference between Wifi and a Data plan for internet use?-
yes you can use all those via wii fii and the difference is data comes out your allowance
-
-
Does BlackBerry Curve 8520 pas as you go phone has a free yahoo messenger and bbm?
-
don't have a pay as you go so can't help. sorry.
-
-
how do u get your blackberry message work
-
download it and the app is then in downloads. click on it and go from there
-
-
My bbm isnt working, and im on pay as you go it keeps saying underneath my pending requests(Waiting for Authorization;what do i
do:L?-
I would get in touch with who ever you took out your pay and go with .
-
-
does this phone when brought from orange come with a memory card included ?
-
no.
-
-
when i try to go on to windows live messenger or aim or aol messenger it says service not enabled for this hand held so any body now how to enable it thanks
-
Have you paired the handset with your computer?
-
-
Does this phone have BBM on it? Also can you make music your ringtone or is there only set ringtones on the phone?
-
yes it has bbm and yes you can make music your ring tone i have the lazy song as mine
-
yes it has bbm and yes you can make music your ring tone i have the lazy song as mine
-
-
If i pay 5£ for bbm is the internet free ....cause i'm a bit confused ..
-
no its not free. i also thought it was included in my £ 15 per month.
-
-
what would you get if you topped up 10 pounds a month
-
Depends what network I suppose, O2 you need a BB bolt on which is 5 quid and gives you 500 mb - plus your tariff charges
-
-
how much is it worth?
-
My Blackberry was free with a contract for £20 per month for 2 years. I use it for business and it is well worth the cost to be able to access email and the internet quickly. I also prefer the qwerty key board to a touch screen its less frustrating!!
-
Not a clue! I got it as part of deal with Orange so I don't know how much these are going for.
-
if you look about you can buy off contract for between £60 and £100
-
-
Do I need to pay monthly on a pay as you go phone? Or it's up to me if I want to top up £10 anytime?
-
if you want to use internet you have to pay a extra five pound just for bbm
-
-
how do you get the internet set up on the blackberry curve?!
-
It's my son's phone so he did it to be honest, just found this link that should help you though...http://uk.blackberry.com/support/devices/blackberrycurve8500.jsp
-
-
hi i had a blackberry curve 8520 on contract but lost my phone i was given a replacement sim but was told if i want a new blackberry i have to buy from virgin directly other wise the sim wont b compatable with the phone, is this true or would any virgin blackberry work fine with it thanx
-
Sorry not sure i can help very much with this, maybe if you have a friend with Virgin you could try your sim in their phone first before having to buy one. If not then try a cashback site to get the best deal.
-
-
Is BBM freee?
-
it all depends on your contract! usually there is a payment of £5 a month for blackberry services, including internet and bbm! if unsure, speak to orange about it. Hope this helps
-
-
Has this phone got 3G
-
NO. But I am intending to upgrade to a 9300 ( that's if T-Mobile in Bromley ever have any - 2 weeks and still waiting )
-
-
im going to buy a bb does it have free bbm and unlimited internet the first 6 months on orange it does on t mobile
-
if ur gettin the bb on contract then u can use bbm but it costs data to use bbm if u havnt got it connected to a wireless internet! If u do itd totally free! If u have a bbm on pay as u go u have to buy a bolt on that costs about. £5 every month to use bbm, facebook etc.. As for internet depends on wot package u buy if u buyin it on contract! I have 250mg of net! 100 mins unlimited txts! I connect my phone to my wireless broadband internet all the time that way wen I use bbm and the internet it doesn't cost me an extra charge on top of my phone bull every month!
-
Hi, i'm really happy with my bb. I'm with T-mobile, i'm not too sure about the orange network on bbs, I get it included in my package along with unlimited internet/texts and mins hope this helps.
-
-
On Orange.. Dolphin Sim.. is BBM free?
-
bbm is free as long as you have credit on your phone
-
-
if i have a O2 sim card and i bought a t-moblie phone will the pay and go still be with O2 ??
-
yeah they pay and go is for the sim card not the mobile phone, hope this helps
-
sorry cant help try t-mobile direct
-
-
Hey, what is the build quality like, and is it easily damaged?
-
build is quite sturdy and streamlined, but easily chipped if dropped (as I found out!) recommend a cover for it.x
-
-
i am thinking about getting a blackberry curve 8520 for Christmas i wanted 2 know is bbm free? and if it is or isnt how do u get it?
-
HI bb is a free service and is easy to use as its on your blackberry app and you either give someone your pin or scan your bar code if someone sends u a request you just accept or decline you can also send broadcasts like a joint message to all hope this helps
-
Sorry but bbm is free, but the actually blackberry service is not! Depending on what phone company you're with, and how you've been with them, they will usually add an additional 5 quid a month to your contract, however some companies integrate the cost of blackberry enterprise into your monthly plan so you won't even notice a difference in price. Best way to find out, call the companies and ask what deal will suit you best!!
-
-
ARE THEY GOOD AND HOW DO SET UP YOUR BBM? (:
-
We like ours we have 4 in our family, bbm is a downloadable app from the blackberry app store you install it on your phone - orange etc charge £5 per month to use it. But all messages are free between blackberrys
-
i found the setting up of bbm a bit stressful but once it was done its working great (:
-
-
is it worth the money
-
Yes it is worth the money.
It is a great Blackberry at a good price. -
I really do think its worth the money personally , I love mine.
-
-
can i put my 02 sims in it
-
I don't think so, I bought my blackberry on the vodafone network as my sim was vodafone, it did come with its own sim though, but you did have to buy it on specific networks so I imagine that it will be locked
-
-
me and my niece are getting blackberrys and i was wondering what would be the best type of bb to get we have our eye on the curve 8520 but we are not sure please help:) x
-
It's all according if you are going to use it for work and pleasure, and how much use you'll get out of it anyway.
The features are relatively straightforward and, even though the manual is not brilliant at explaining things, because it is so user friendly you can get the measure of it quite quickly.
The email facility on the 8520 is not brilliant, but it does connect to the internet and it is possible to access your email via that facility.
It is particularly useful if you have other friends or colleagues who have a Blackberry, because with the Blackberry Messenger facility you can text for nothing (as long as it's Blackberry to Blackberry)
I've found mine fit for purpose. -
The main reason in my opinion for a blackbery is it is more professional for work as the email is really good, I am 53 and found it user friendly
-
-
Whats The Best Blackberry To Get At The Moment?
-
8520 i find it easy to get on with
-
-
how do u download music and games on the the phone
-
Hi, yes I do, its very easy, but you need a good package otherwise it can be expensive
-
how do u download music and games on the phone
-
-
i have this blackberry atm and what i leave it out in the sum it over heats and the battery goes dead i dont no why because i need my phone but it is useless when the BATTERY IS DEAD !!
-
I'd suggest not leaving it out in the sun then...
-
-
thinking of buying a blackberry phone, although i struggle to find a phone that has a good enough battery life, would prefer it to last at least a full day. does this blackberry have a good battery life and how long does it last before it dies?
-
Sorry but I did not keep mine long enough to find out. I found the keys were too small for me to use without glasses!! My grandaughter has the Blackberry curve and I think she finds the battery will last the day, it all depends how much you use it like anything. It seems all the new type phones struggle with the batteries. Im going to buy a Samsung Galaxy 11, I think the battery is supposed to be good.
-
-
I have a 8520 curve with a 250 MB download limit, how will i know when i have hit my limit ? and how much does it cost if i go over that limit?
-
Hey, dont use my fone to download much, but contact your service provider they will be able to tell you about costs and limits!
-
-
How much did you pay for it and did you get on Pay as you go or Contract??? And how much do you pay ??
-
hello iam on contract and i pay 31 pound a month and i have unlimted txt booster 500 mins and 15mb internet
-
-
Is the internet free ?
-
I think it depends on your contract. My son's internet is free and he's pay as you go. I have a contract and my internet isn't included, my first bill was a bit of a shock as I hadn't realised this!!! I'm sure you can buy 'add ons' which include interenet.
-
-
Hi!! If I buy a Blackberry on pay as you go! Is the internet expencive as I would use it to go on Facebook???
Thanks-
i am on a contract so cant help with that!!!!
I love my BB best phone ever !!!
-
-
would the memory card come included as part as a contract?
-
It did with mine.
-
A memory card is free with all contracts.
-
Yes it did with mine too.
-
-
do i have to pay an extra £5 a month for BBM on pay as you go? x
-
With orange its included if you pay £20 a month on the dolphin package, anything less and you pay the £5, don't know for PAYG though, hopefully someone else will have the answer for you
-
-
how do activate the 6 months free internet & email?
-
Depends what network it is - if it's T-mobile there should have been a leaflet in the box with a code to text. Other than that best thing is to visit the local shop of the network. Most PAYG networks now do deals where you pay £5 a month for BB services.
-
I pass on that one - I'm with Orange and had my existing package transferred to Blackberry. I rang the Orange customer services and it was done there and then. (T-Mobile, I think, are now the same company as Orange)
-
-
does the 6months free internet come on the phone or on the sim ? :)
-
You must understand, you are asking this only to people who have bought the phone. I do not know network deals, I only own the handset.
-
-
can you mms and sms on it
-
Lauren yes you can do both
-
-
hi, i'm thinking of getting a blackberry curve on pay as you go. how much is bbms and do you have to pay for credit and bbm seperate?
-
you get ur credit and it costs an extra £5 a month for the blackberry features
-
-
after i few months is this phone any good?????
-
Yea it is really good and u get updates for the phone aswell thus is the second blackberry I have had and would continue to have the same phone
-
-
Hi
Is Blackberry Messenger free...Is the internet free...Is downloading apps free....What do you get in the box???
Thank you for all your help :D-
No, mine costs £5 per month, but I'm on payg. I think if you're on contract it might be already included in the price. You would have to check with yr provider.
-
-
do any retailers sell the blackberry curve 9300 in the red colour ,has anyone managed to get that colour at all? and can you still have bbm if your on pay as you go, if so how much would it roughly cost me extra?
-
Hi, I'm not sure about 9300 in red, you can get bbm on payg, it's £5 for blackberry bolt on.
If you can't get red 9300 I know you can get complete blackberry case changes on e-bay, eg I have black 8520 but could buy complete new case in any colour. Hope this helps. Debs
-
-
i am thinking about buying this product but i was wondering do i have to buy bbm as well if i would like it on my phone.
-
Do not know what bbm is
-
Its free and a great way to keep in touch with your friends who have blackberry s -
It comes as part of the contract, if your going down that route. But if your getting it on PAYG, you'll have to pay for it as a bolt on. £5 a month at the moment. I'm with orange so don't know what other mob. providers charge. Hope this helps.
-
-
does the battry last long, or does it go really quickly:/?
-
If you are just using the phone for texting and everyday things then it does last a long time but if you use the wifi and apps then it will go down a bit quicker but it will still last a fair while :)
-
It doesn't last long. I mainly text (about a dozen a day), read a few emails and make a couple of phone calls a day and I find it does need charging every couple of days.
-
I find the battery life good I'm only charging mine once a week where as any touch screens iv had need charged most days so I like it I'm not. A heavy user so I'm prob not much help to u
-
-
does the battry last long, or does it go really quickly:/?
-
Not the best ive had but very satisfactory
-
-
does it come with a memorie
-
notsure what that is sorry
-
-
when i buy a blackberry would my bbm be free for the fisrt 6 month?
-
BBM isn't free unless its stated in ur pay monthly contract or ur pay as u go terms, its not free and most people have a bolt on they pay for to use it, it uses the internet so u have to pay, mines included in my contract
-
-
which is better, the bold or the curve and do they have a memory card slot?
If so what memory cards do they take?-
the curve is better and yes mirco sd :)
-
-
if i buy this fone will it freeze ??- and is it suitable for a 11 year old ??
-
im 31 and struggle with it so i would say no, also it seems very flimsy th e back is very thin plastic. i think all phones have the potentual to freeze.
-
-
Is 02 a good choice of network for a Blackberry?
-
yes it is a good choice
-
-
i want to be on pay as yougo and i was just wondering if i could still have blackberry messenger on pay as you go , can someone please help me ?
-
i think so ask your network provider
-
-
Is it easy to use and Is it worth all the money.
-
Yes its very easy to use I was lucky as my 2 daughters both own one so I was able to ask for help from them if I got stuck I love my phone and its only 5 pounds per month more
-
-
I am wondering about buying this phone is it worth it ?????? thnx :)
-
I would say dependant on the price. The one I bought was £130 and I paid with tesco clubcard vouchers which were doubled up (so really only paid £65). I bought it for my 12 year old daughter who loves it and is continually on it playing games when she isn't texting. My 17 year old Son also has this phone as well as my nephew and they are both very happy with it.
-
yes definately !! this phone is fantastic I cant say enough about how good it is, in fact it recieves my e mails about five minutes before they arrive on my computer ! its simple to use and with the keyboard lay out of the keys it makes texting so much easier, you must buy this phone !!
-
Yes get out and buy it, the best phone I have ever bought, it value for money.
-
-
Hello, I was thinking about buying this phone, my first question is : does this phone freeze alot and is it good for its value? because i can get a better phone for the same price or less also, there is one on t-mobile with 6 months free Blackberry messenger do you know which is the best tariff to go with also this is on pay as you go :) Thanks
-
Well I'm happy with it tbh, but I'm sure it does more stuff than I do with it! I do like the qwerty, didn't think I would. I do think the bb apps take ages to download tho. Plus side, I spilled tea on it the other week, it was a bit funny for a few days but its fine again. Yep it does freeze sometimes, but only for seconds. On the whole I like it. A lot. Coverage is good, I would maybe try 3 mobile if you use the web a lot, really quick and they tend to have all you can eat data. Hope this was helpful. S
-
Does not Freeze. Also don't know about payg, as I'm on contract.
-
-
can i bbm with a bb curve 9300 with this phone
-
Sorry not sure what bbm is? I find it great, internet, email and texting. Pictures are excellent as is a video option.
Loads of functions I don't use, sorry cannot be of more help
-
-
do i have to have a 10 pound top up
-
Hi fdgd if you don't top up with your £10 you lose your so many minutes & texts if you don't top up but I don't think you have to .
-
-
please tell me what is so good about a blackberry i am not saying that they are not good i am just asking
-
I was always using nokias you know sort of habit. If you are looking for something easy to use and stay in touch with outside world I would recommend blackberry. Of course if you don't want to invest in iphone :) This which I bought haven't got nice camera but all the rest is great!
-
-
please tell me what is so good about a blackberry i am not saying that they are not good i am just asking
-
It's not the be all and end all, but it's great with teenagers and for BBM (blackberry messaging). They are easy to use. But if you are still deciding to get one i suggest going for the Blackberry Bold as they are hot on the market
-
-
does the phonehave bbm
-
yes it does
-
yes it does, its free
-
-
my friend said that blackberry's break easily... is this true?
-
I got a leather case for mine and a screen protector to keep it clean scratch free and safer from accidently dropping it. The phone is working fine i have had it for several months now so it's ok so far for me.
-
-
i am on orange and i want a blackberry does anyone know the plan for it? and is it cheap for internet and bbm?.ohh and when u get a blackberry do u have to pay for the internet or do u use wifi and how do u get bbm?:) thanks reply asap
-
right ok lol quite a few questions, if its on contract theres all different type of plans, so it all depends on what plan best suits yourself, have a look online then you can work out which ones the best.
on the plans the internet comes free thats included, and bbm is free too, word of warning though dont use your texing to send photos you will be charged, send photos through bbm its free. wifi should automatically come on the phone as it needs it for the internet, go into Manage Connections and tick WI-FI on. to receive bbm go to Blackberry App World (on your phone) and download. Hope this has cleared a few things up for you. Good luck..
-
-
what is error app 200 mean my phone wont work at all any ans welcome plzzz
-
sorry, but have not come across this error. Try phoning customer services, i always found them really helpful. Good luck..
-
-
when you buy a blackberry on pay as you go do you get bbm for free for a certain amount of time.
-
Hi Conor it depends on what plan you have got with your pay as you best off asking your supplier they would be able to help you but if your on pay as you go it probably is extra .
-
-
how do you download bbm, facebook and twitter???? :D
-
Hi Hannah there already on the phone all you have to do is set them up .
-
-
would i be able to swap the orange chip to a t-moble
-
Sorry but I'm not sure. I would have thought that if the phone has been unlocked you could.
-
-
Is there BlackBerry Messager already in phone?
-
Some do, but its a free download if it isn't already loaded. It's very easy to manage through a PC as you need to connect frequently to get updated apps etc... and they supply the software to load to your PC when you buy the phone.
-
-
Out of 10, 10 being really easy, how easy is it to use this phone?
-
10 out of 10
-
-
If I keep my current mobile number will I still get BB Messenger??
-
Yes no problem I have kept my number and have no problem with BB messenger
-
Yes no problem I have kept my number and have no problem with BB messenger
-
-
does it have flash
-
No.
-
-
is it good for a 11 year old please help
-
It's a bit different to a normal phone in that it's got qwerty keyboard like a computer. If your child is ok with a computer I should think this would not cause too many problems. I will say it does take a bit of getting used to tho.
-
-
I have a contract phone with T-mobile which has broken. I bought a blackberry payg from t-mobile online. Could I use this with the contract sim and purchase blackberry plan on top
-
Hi sorry this is not my area, you will have to go to your contractor for these answers.
-
-
How much is a blackberry curve 8520 T mobile on pay as you go???
-
A bb curve 8520 on pay as you go with t-mobile would cost you 120 pounds but if you chose to go contract the phone comes free from 15.50 a month on a 12 month contract bope this helps
-
-
can you use facebook if you dont have WIFI around you??
-
yes you can.
-
-
How much does insurance cost on the BB CURVE 9300 AND 8520 because just incase my Phone gets lost i will like to get another one for free without paying a penny so how much does Insurance cost on the curve 9300 and 8520
-
my insurance is only £6 a month at the moment i took it out when i got the phone
-
-
Hi, i am thinking of getting one and i know you have to pay for BBM but if you are conected to your wifi in you home can you get it for free then???
-
dont know but its expensive every month other wise cost me a fortune
-
No, you need to pay £5 per month for BBM, if you connect to your home router all it does is to enhance your signal...sorry
-
-
is the battery life good, are they worth the money and are the apps good?:)thanks
-
they are worth the money and the apps are good but the battery life is VERY VERY CRAP
-
I agree with Jodie, the battery life is terrible, I have to charge mine every day - my old phone (Nokia E71) I could use constantly & not have to charge for a few days.
-
-
Is it free to use BBM on pay monthly contracts?
-
yes
-
Check the contract first as mine is basic and don't think it is included...
-
-
When you connect your phone to your computer Via USB, a message comes up, I accidently pressed no and dont show this again, and now I cant connect to my pc, how do I change this setting?
-
the quick way is to put your blackberry disc back into your computer and set it up again
-
-
Is the phone worth getting? I have heard a lot of bad things from other people about it. However all my friends have it and they say its amazing. I am a bit confused!!! Whats your opinion? Also do you have to pay extra for the Blackberry Messaging Service? Thank you for reading this, Hope you reply,
-
Your friends are right its amazing
-
Blacklberry messaging is free so you can send messages to your friends all the time. The phone is very good and if all your friends have got it they will be able to help you with anything you dont know
-
-
do you have these phones on the network 3 and purple??? many thanks
-
Hi tia I don't know about that one you would have to look around and see what deals are going .
-
-
Is this a good phone for teens and is it reliable ?
-
yes
-
-

-
Hi id love to get an iphone because the screans a lot bigger but my blackberry is good and fun with the bb contacts your up 2 date any time night or day..!!!
-
-
If you get a pay as you go blackberry curve 8520, can you get bbm, facebook, twitter etc, free if you top up the £10?
-
not sure about that probably depend on your provider
-

-
-
is the bbm as worse as people say it is ????
-
I dont use it myself so i cant comment.Text mesaging on my phone is really good easy to use and i know people who do use bbm and they seem to like it!
-
hi , unfortunately Orange messed up putting my top up on so badly despite speaking to ten different people , i ended up sending the phone back , Orange are the worst company i have ever come across , so sorry i can't help
-
-
is the still problems with the bbm?
-
I can't really anwer your question as i dont use bbm sorry
-
this is a question you should be asking your sales rep
before you get into a contract
-
-
is the bbm free and internet but it says 6month on free internet and email does that include it on pay as you go? thanks
-
bbm is a package which you have to pay for.
Internet is apay for package on some networks but not on others . If your deal says six months free internet
thats is what it means you will need to facture in the cost of internet after six months
-
-
Hi, is blackberry really gd or just ok or bad !
-
Hi, it depends what you're looking for in a phone. If you can be more specific then I'd be happy to answer any queries you have
-
-
what mobile networks does it take?
-
I got fed up withy the 8520 and have since changed to a 9300. Better in some ways but not so good in others. I have always been with T-Mobile but I don't know which other networks are available. I suggest check on the internet for the best deals>
-
-
How good is the camera? and is it easy to play music on? thanks
-
The camera is brilliant, easy to share photos with friends on web. Yes it easy to play music on just one button to get to your music!
-
-
Do you have to pay for bbm
-
no
-
-
How do i get BBM on pay as you go?
-
phone your supplier (orange, o2 etc) takes bout 24hrs to activate and costs £5
-
-
my theme dos'nt seem to work. what do i do?
-
Will it let you choose anything, or is it just stuck on the factory one?
-
-
At the Minuet I am With O2 And I Pay £5 per Month for unlimited texts, and im thinking about getting a BlackBerry, would i be able to use this sim in the BlackBerry? and if i add a BB bolt on, would my payment then be £10 per month? and where does the £5 go to? please help
-
Contact o2 and ask about adding blackberry services to your contract. Blackberry bolt is usually and extra 5 quid a month, so you will have all your blackberry services (bbm, email ect.) Plus your unlimited texts and another additions from your existing contract (minutes and whatever) you will probably also require an internet allowance to use your blackberry. Ring o2 and enquire about it. I am with orange and they integrsated the bb costs into my existing contract so I don't even notice the extra cost. They may offert you a new contract with a free phone which I would reccommend as this contract will be set up to maximise your bb experience. Hope this helps
-
-
BBM free for this particular phone?
-
My family has 4 phones across tmobile, vodafone orange we pay about £5 permonth for bbm
-
nope i pay £5 per month for the bbm
-
i pay £5 amonth for bbm and pay £5 a month for my sons bbm i dont think you can get it free
-
-
Is BBM free on this particular phone
-
bbm is free when you have an internet connection on your phone. If you are at home then it free through your home internet. if not then it will use the internet from your serviced provider, which in my case is vodafone. Hope this helps :-)
-
Yes bb is free regardless .
-
-
Hi!
Basically I am a teen and my nan is maybe gonna get me this blackberry for christmas but I have seen some bad reviews and would like to know is it good for a teen and is it easy to use as i have a similar style phone at the moment but it is rubbish!-
It is a great phone but if you want to Browse the Internet it not so good as it is not a 3G Phone which means it is not very fast loading data.
If as you say you are a Teen then try to go for the 9300 as it has 3G and i assume Browsing the Net is what all Teens want to do.
-
-
if i get this phone and i get it unlocked do i have to pay for bbm?
-
getting the phone unloced is something your network provider charges for. It's nothing to do with the phone!
-
if its pay as you go then yes the network provider will charge for bbm but if its a contract then its included in the monthly charge.
-
-
Is the internet free and if not how much a minuet?? thanks
-
The deal I had with T mobile was the first six months were free and after that with a payg it costs me £20 for 6 months. It will also pick up your own wifi.
-
For me, the blackberry has not been the best online experience, nor has the wifi been particularly successful. To date I have been able to access the internet very briefly on one occasion on a bus travelling through the West Country. I have been unable to access the wifi facility or the GPRS in China or Kenya and that is within the last six months.
-
-
Would i be able to upload videos onto youtube on this phone
-
Yes, the quality is fab!
-
-
Do I get free internet?
-
I think it depends on your contract - best to speak to someone in your local phone shop as the contracts and deals seem to change almost daily!!
-
-
Does every Blackberry 8520 able to have BBM on the orange network?
-
Yes all blackberry's have got BBM doesn't matter which network you with all blackberrys can message other blackberrys free of charge.
-
I didn't keep my Blackberry long enough! I am a golden oldie and I am afraid the keys and letters were too small for me to see without the aid of glasses!! But my family all have the Blackberry and yes I agree with the above answer, everyone I know who ownes a curve is pleased with its performance!
-
-
hi, Do you know if there is any possible way to get free BBM for Blackberry curve 8520 on giff gaff ? Thanks.
-
not sure hun xxx
-
-
I want a blackberry for Christmas and I want it pay as you go for £10 a month. What would be the best network as I will use Facebook and BBM and I can't really pay any more?
-
tmobile
-
-
can you get BBM on your blackberry if it's pay as you go?
-
yes mine is payg
-
Yes I top up 15 a month and get it free or u can pay 5 a month for ir
-
Yes you can with O2 at £15.00 per month
-
-
Hi know on orange how much do u have to spend to get 6 months bbm or is that just t mobile . Thanks
-
as far as i know its t mobile
-
-
Are they any good and worth all that money ?? Xx
-
yes
-
i do everything on mine and would be lost without it and id say if you could afford to pay more my partner has the bold version they are much better quality and the internet has 3g much better!
-
mine is fantastic for email and facebook. ok for internet. I got a free phone with a 12 month contract. When you subtract the price of the phone i pay about £12 ($20) a month. I think it is good value. If I knew more BB users the BB Messenger would be a great bonus.
-
They do freeze sometimes and you have to do a battery pull but the apps are good, BBM is a useful feature. Internet is good but slow - 3G phones are better for the internet
-
-
Does bb have chat app on facebook ??
-
not as standard, but you can down load one from blackberry apps world
-
You can download the facebook app for free from Blackberry App World, enable your status to be on-line and you will receive your messages through your e-mail section
-
-
Does the phone come with a SIM card? and is it a pay as you go or a monthly contract? and how much? thanks.
-
you can get a payg phone, i ordered mine from t-mobile and a sim card was supplied with a ten pounds in it (you have to pay for the ten pounds)
-
Depends, you can have either. One daughter has contract on Orange with unlimitted texts, 200 minutes and 250MB mobile web for £20.00 per month, the other is PAYG and both came with SIMS. O2 do phone for £15.00 top up on PAYG with unlimitted texts and 500MB of mobile web.
-
-
on every blackberry 8520 on orange do you get free bbm on pay as you go?
-
I'm not sure as I'm on O2 and it is free on PAYG with O2 with a £15.00 per month top up
-
-
i am thinking of buying a blackberry but i cant find a company with free bbm! i want a blackberry thats payasyou go for texts and free bbm bout ii cat find a company help any requests?!
-
I'm on 02 it came with sim card if u top up 15 a month u get free bbm n free txts and the 15 is ur credit to use. U can get ur blackberry anywhere and call 02 and ask them to change ur tariff for free I think its called ping and go. Hope this helps
-
My daughter has PAYG with O2 and gets unlimitted texts, 500MB mobile web and free BBM for £15.00 per month top up. You get to use the £15.00 on calls. As long as you top up by £15.00 per month the texts etc are free.
-
-
Ornage doesn't say how much the pay monthly is? i was wondering if you could tell me xx
-
No sorry I don't know xx
-
-
if i buy it wont bbm be free?
-
Yes they are unlimited - beats paying for texts....
-
-
do you have to pay for bbm?
-
No it's free .... yippppee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
-
does it have facebook as a featrue and what is facebook like through internet on th BlackBerry
-
F/B is ok on blackberry I use it you can chat to friends look at pictures or like things which people put on your wall you can't play the games which they have got on F/B .
-
-
do you have to pay for bbm??
-
Hi Nadia bbm is free but I have to pay £5 extra with my plan I get 100 texts & 300 minutes and unlimited internet and my phone is about £20 all in for that .I'm with orange.
-
-
hello, i was wondering if this phone is pay as you go?! and if it is, what would be a good deal for free internet and a curtain amount of texts (whilst paying e.g.£10 first) and aswell is the internet free?!
thaankyou!-
Hi Vicky my son gets a good deal with virgin for £15 a month so many texts, minutes & internet unlimited which is a good deal but I don't know with pay as you go have to shop around .
-
-
how long does the batterry last? and are text messages displayed like instant messaging?
-
Hi Katy the battery lasts about 3 days and it has got instant messaging it depends on how often you use the phone with the battery .
-
-
in this deal can u get a bb in silver
-
White, black, silver, purple and pink I believe. Although when I got mine the shop only had black or purple. Hope that helps.
-
-
is it worth the price
whats the price-
I think that I paid about £140 for mine,it is a purple version and I love it.I also used my Tesco CC and so gained extra points!!.I have found this so easy to use and I use it for music all the time travelling to and from work. The texts are clear and the call quality is excellent.I really recommend this phone .
-
-
Can you get it in different colours other than black?
-
Yes I have silver and my sister in law has a pink one! I have also seen a lavenda one x
-
-
Hi, is it the mobile phone unlocked? i live in Argentina, can i use the bb if I get it at the duty free shop?
-
Im sorry I don't know i know here that bb is charged monthly if you don't have a contract
-
-
if you dont have facebook is there any point of getting a balckberry ????????????
-
theres lots of point. if anything the android phones are probably better at facebook. on a blackbery you can do emails, web browsing, make calls, texts, send pictures, listen to music, download apps. all sorts.
-
-
i already have a orange phone and sim and i would like to get the blackberry curve 8520 but when i go to buy it i have to get a sim with it so i will have a new number. but is there a way that i can just buy the phone and use my old orange sim?
-
My son got a new sim with his but kept his old number so it can be done. I would speak to Orange.
-
When you buy your new phone the shop assistant will tell you how to keep your old number and will probably do it for you.
-
You can keep your old number just ask the shop assistant.
-
-
Is it good to use
-
I like it.
-
-
if u get a black bery from tesco does bbm and facebook and youtube still happen on pay as you go? and is it true tht if u take ur sim out it cant mess up ur blackberry bbm?
-
Blackberry services are an add on which normally costs £5 a month on pay as you go.
BBM is linked to the pin number of the phone not the SIM, but is registered with the service provider. If you are thinking of just taking out the sim and putting in one from another provider it won't work. The phone will be locked to Tesco and Tesco phones are some of the hardest to unlock.
-
-
does the blackberry send out wife hotspot so say i was out whith my ipad could i get wifi from my phone
-
its not been officially announced yet but the blackberry storm 3 may have this function
-
-
thick mum here. my daughter wants a blackberry 8520 for xmas, at moment she is on orange dolphin pay monthly which gives her 300 texts, minutes and unlimited internet access. does this mean she could simply put her existing sim in her new blackberry and use all the features with her free internet access or does she still have to get a new data package deal?
-
it a different kindof sim for the blackberry! so she will lneed a new contract but im sure she wil lfind one at same price as she pays with the package she has?
-
-
is there any point of getting a blackberry if you dont have bbm ???????????????
-
yes the blackberry is so much more than just bbm
-
-
you know that a fiver goes towars bbm on a payg bb how much bbm txts hav u got??
-
Hi Paige I'm not sure with that one I have a contract phone with orange & my bbm is unlimited for £5 extra a month .
-
-
you know that a fiver goes towars bbm on a payg bb how much bbm txts hav u got??
-
Blackberry Messenger uses the internet connection, so as much internet as you can afford.
-
You have to have talk time to use bbm, but bbm to bbm are free!!!costs you no more than you usualy top up...
-
-
Does it have a voice command on it ?
And can you change the coulor of the light when it flaches when you have a text ?-
It does have voice dialling, you can also change the colour of the light but only through an app from the app world
-
-
Are the buttons on the keypad separated or stuck together? Do you know what I mean?
-
Hi Charlotte the buttons on keypad are separared and easy to use its like a computer if you remember where the letters are then you won't have any problems .
-
-
does this phone freeze alot?
-
No not really, that side of it is OK. It's if the keys get slightly damp then they dont respond correctly
-
-
Should i go on vodaphone or orange?, purple or black?
-
black seems more popular and Orange has the orange wednesdays and orange numbers for friends
-
-
If i get a BlackBerry Curve 8520, and spend £10 every month, will i get free internet, facebook, BBM, MSN etc... ? Also do i have to pay £5 every month on top of the £10 aswell for this?

-
-
If i get a BlackBerry Curve 8520, and spend £10 every month, will i get free internet, facebook, BBM, MSN etc... ? Also do i have to pay £5 every month on top of the £10 aswell for this?
Thanks alot.-
You will have to pay £5 or use £5 from your £10 credit.
-
-
what I need is a phone I can link to my google calendar not only to view but I can update on the move through the day, as my company books slots into my diary and at the moment the phone I have can view the updates but I can not amend or add a slot, so if I take a booking in the day I can not do a live update until the end of the day, so it means double bookings, my wife owns a HTC and a i phone 4 which she can view and update with ease and also not need to log onto the net then log onto to google the diary so is always there and are great but I dont want to spend as much can this do the job?
-
I really have no idea it's not something that I have any interest in. Perhaps you could ask someone in the shop that sells the phones?
-
-
how much will it cost per month
-
Depends on contract minimum about £15 per month
-
-
i have an orange sim, can i put that sim into the tesco mobile B.B for example?
-
only if it excepts all networks minedoesnt
-
-
Hi i have a black berrycurve and i want to go on a package deal with dolphin how much will it cost for the sim ?????
-
Hi Megan Virgin do some good deals with blackberry but i'm not sure with dolphin sorry .
-
-
I am on Orange and use dolphin pay as you go (£10 a month top up thing) and i was wondering would i have to pay extra for BBM?
-
As far as I am aware bbm is free on all networks
-
you have to ring orange up to set up your bbm pin i believe it is £5 to do this then as long as you dont go over your internet usuage and top up at the appropriate times then there would be no additional charges
-
-
how do you register bbm as i am purchasing a blackberry after christmas just wanted to know :)
-
depending on the network you can buy a bolt on or theres special tarif`s for it, ask your network provider :)
-
-

-

I am paying £15 per month and that should include internet, you need internet to access bbm check with your dealer if you are having trouble.
-
-
I'm not sure if should buy blackberry or HTC, which one would you recommend?
-
Hi Sam I don't know about HTC but I have the blackberry and it is easy to use I would have another one when my upgrade is due.
-

-
-
I have recently got this blackberry for my birthday and i was wondering how do i pay for the blackberry messnger?
-
I have no idea!! I guess it depends on your contract?
-
If its pay as you go then you need to contact your service provider to ask them to activate it, the cost is £5 a month and they will need to take payment when you call them! Hope this helps
-
-
hey!
i would like a this phone A.K.A a blackberry but its not in my price range are there any other phones that are like blackberry that you would recommend? x-

-
-
how much dose the bbm count with the black berry
-
Sorry - don't understand your question. Can you rephrase it? Thanks
-
-
Does it have blackberry messenger on it, also is it fast at charging.
Does it also come with head phones, charger, battery and sim card-
Hi Matilda, the phone is fast charging, has headphones, charger, battery and SIM card, but mine is on monthly contract so you may not get a SIM card with it if yours isn't. Has all forms of messaging including e-mail, Facebook and Twitter. Very small keyboard though and I find it difficult to use and read - I won't be getting another one but will opt for iPhone instead. Hope this helps. Derek
-
Yes it does have headphones ,charger, battery and sim card with it and you can get messenger , e-mails, twitter & facebook but you have to set them up, orange is very happy to help you set it up it also has a disc for you to download on your computer so you can update your blackberry the battery is fast charging but doesn't last very long also if your with orange you get charged £5 extra to unlimited broadband it all depends on what plan you have I love the blackberry phone easy to use but the only fault is that the battery is short life mine lasts me about a 2 days at the most . Hope this is helpful to you Linda.
-

-
Hi Bob if you have a contract phone its usually unlimited usage with what ever deal you set up .
-
-
Hey!
How do you connect a PAYG Blackberry to a wi-fi??

Go to "Manage Connections", scroll down to "Set up Wi-Fi Network". The options are straightforward. Good Luck and enjoy.

and wud u say that its better than the bb curve 9360?-
It all depends on what you're looking for in a phone. If the basics of a smarphone is all you're after, ie calling texting, blackberry messenger and internet then this phone is more than handy for that! However, if you're after something a bit more advanced then I suggest the 9360

-
Have had both PAYG and contract, slight problem at first with contract phone, but it cleared pretty quickly. The only thing I would say is they are good for e mails but rubbish for browsing internet. Facebook ok though. The phone can't load web pages that are quite large. I'd go for a Samsung Galaxy next time. Hope that helps.

Isit a good phone for my son he asked for it but i'm not sure if i should get him a Rio,HTC,or BlackBerry 8520 I need an owner to tell me ?
-
The BlackBerry 8520 is a very good entry-level smart phone. It is my first smart phone, and I am constantly using it for email, facebook, and even some games. To be honest I chose it because it came free on a t-mobile 12-month plan. That being said, I do not regret it. I am still learning how to use all the bells and whistles on it.

-
Isit a good phone for my son he asked for it but i'm not sure if i should get him a Rio,HTC,or BlackBerry 8520 I need an owner to tell me ?
-
hello,
firstly the rio is a blackberry (lookalike) just a basic phone.the 8520 is very good with features that most people want, blackberry messenger apps etc,but knowing what i know now i would DEFINATELY go for the HTC faster processor android 2.3 gingerbread, i hope this helps? just dont buy the rio

-
When you first get the phone is BBM Pre-installed on the device and also if you're on pay as you go with this phone how much do you have to pay for BBM (Also include if you pay to send Mssges or to receive Mssges ECT)
-
BBM wasn't pre-installed on my device, we phoned customer services who got it all going. I believe that BBM costs something like £5 per month for PAYG and can be included in some contracts. I don't use it and it's not included in mine, however, my son who has same phone and is PAYG pays the £5 each month.
-
-
does it have wlan to connect to a laptop or computer
-
Nope it doesn't
-
-
i really dont get it - can i get the internet without having to do anything to it and do i have to download anything. also how quick is it my friends got this phone and sometimes it takes a while to load does yours?
is it worth the money-
The 8520 is now one of the older smart phones - it is very slow to load when you first put the battery in, but it wakes up quickly when powered of without battery removal. To get full advantages you need the blackberry bolt on - this is £5 a month on PAYG, taken from you call credit - on pay monthly it will be built into your plan. You do not have to download anything else - the blackberry OS has a browser built in - it is not that quick because this phone is not 3G so you have to use Blackberrys edge technology (although on orange you can use a local wireless hotspot using a feature they call UMA). I would recommend you go for the 9300 instead as it has a much new operating system and is 3G so is better at browsing the internet. They are currently about £150 on PAYG - hope this helps
-
I had to change my internet package from Orange to Blackberry and, as David says, it's £5/month. I don't really have any problems with it and I guess it could depend on your internet download speeds. Like I said, I don't have any problems with it. It does everything I want to do and came as part of my package.
-
I am not at all happy with it. I can't browse the internet, I can't access my e mails and I can't use facebook without paying extra. As my contract is £25 a month I really don't see why I should. The battery life is woefully short. I am hoping to change my phone asap.
-
-
I need to know if you brought the phone with 6months internet and bbm is it pre installed and ready for you to use as soon as you set it up?... or is there other steps to getting it set up?
-
The phone was ready to go as soon as I got it out of the box.
-
-
is BBM free on pay as you go ?
-
No
-
no but u might be able to add as a bolt on package deppending on who ur with

Is there a blackberry data plan on orange? And is there a data plan on tmobile? and what do you think i should get, orange or tmobile, i'm really stuck, i think tmobile is good for like free internet and texts but so is orange, help im stuck. Which should i pick? Please help. By the way, people say the battery life is rubbish, is this true?
-
I'm not sure about data plans, I am on an orange contract and I think its 25 pounds a month. I don't think the battery life is too bad, it is a smart phone after all. If you are on the internet and things like that a lot it will be drained, but I just charge mine at night. Compared to iphone users I know people who have to charge throughout the day as well.
-
-

-
I can't really say about the choice between orange and t-mobile, not really a Blackberry question and I'm on O2 and have no idea if there's a plan on the other networks.
Battery life could be better I guess but I think it depends on the apps you have and such like whatever you have running in the background that can drain it. Personally I only have to plug mine in about once a week maybe. -
Yes there are plans on t-mobile as I use them and am very satisfied. With regards to battery life all I can say it that they are far supirior to that of iphone's and other android manufactures.
Hope this helps!!!

ive not had any problems with battery and ide go for tmobile every time
-
-
On some of the reviews people have said that the apps are rubbish on this phone, is this true? Also somebody said on the reviews that the storage is rubbish for your music, photos and videos even if you have a memory card, is this true? I'm confused, i don't want to buy this phone if all that is true :/
-
no there not true the best phone ive ever brought
-
-
If i buy this phone on pay as you go then do i get free bbm
-
I don't know about that as I got this phone on contract I do know that some other phone companies ask you to pay£5.00 per month for the bbm but I dont know about orange
-
-
will getting the pay as you go affect the bbm or internet at all compared to a contract one?
-
you have to pay £5 a month for internet if i remember correctly
-
-
is the 9300 better
-
Don't know, don't have the 9300
-
In my opinion yes the 9300 is better but for a first blackberry phone you cant go wrong with the 8520, it is a mini computer on a budget, ok its not touch screen and does not have android but for emails, texts and facebook etc what more would you want for under £130.00
-
-
My son has just got the 8520 curve. He is on Orange. He did the subscribe (email to 247) and we have tried to download BBM but when he tries to send a BBM it states 'pending authentification'. Does he have to wait for a code or something to come through before he can use BBM now that he has paid the £5.00 as directed by orange?
-
Hi
Sorry I can't answer this as it appears to be a subscriber issue. I dont use BBM and mainly use my blackberry for e-mail
-
-
do u have to pay for internet
-
yes
-
-
Can i get a white blackberry curve 8520?
-
Yes I believe you can purchase white blackberry curves and I also believe that you can get a pink blackberry.
-
-
im trying t convince my mum to let me get this blackberry...
so i just need to know:
is it worth the money?
what do u like about it?

I think it's a 12 month guaranty

-
Hi do you have bbm (black berry messenger) ?
do you have to pay for it? and one last thing is yours pay as you go because that is what i need-
No I don't have to pay for BBM because I have a tariff that has unlimited internet. I am not sure if it is free on a PAYG. Sorry I cannot help you further.
-
-
does it look like the original blackberry
-
Yes but smaller.
-
yes it does my 10 yearold daugther loves it
-
-
Hi, if i didn't get the blackberry bolt for £5 a month, could I still use BBM, Facebook, etc using a Wi-Fi connection? Also, as I'm on pay as you go and usually top up with £10, would it mean that I had to top up with £15 for the bolt or could i continue topping up with £10 and £5 be deducted for the bolt. Hope this makes sense :) Thanks.
-
Hi, No I don't think you would be able to use anything unless you got the Blackberry bolt on. I couldn't get my fone to work properly until I got it. Also your top up would be £15 a month (£10 as per usual aplus £5 for the BB)
-
-

You need the bolt on to use BBM - but you can use wi fi for FB. Im not sure how your top up works - mine is 10 plus 5 bolt on but they deduct the whole 15!!! sorry, its as clear as mud. ck with your service provider.
-
-
Hi. do i need the bolt to access my emails on the blackberry? Also, does the £5 bolt thingy cover BBM only or other things such as facebook and emails. Thanks :)
-
With my U-Fix plan; £5.00 is for BBM, internet & mobile email is free. Hope this helps, as i'm not sure if its different on other tariffs.
-
-
has the blackberry curve 8520 got BBM ?
-
all blackberry have bbm.
-
-
I was wonderin if this is a good phone??? and is it free bbm if ur with orange????
-
I love my BB, and sadly no, but if you get a data plan you can get internet, facebook, twitter, bbm and loads of other perks.
-
-
how much do you pay for bbm?
-
It's called a data plan, and i pay an extra £5 on my contract but with that you get internet and you can use facebook, twitter, bbm and loads more.
-
-
is the blackberry good
-
Yes it's an excellent phone (in my opinion) Very easy to use and great apps. Higly recommended. Good value at £15.50 a month too!!
-
Yes I agree.
-
-
hi, urm i was wondering iff i could pick any phone would you recommend the blackberry and why? xxx
-
i like mine, cos it's so easy to use, and it' not complicated.
-
Hi Courtney - Yes I would highly recommend it. It's much more than meets the eye and really comes in handy.
I've not used doc-to-go or sheet-to-go but have viewed a few things in them. It's OK on that side but a laptop is much preferred.
The battery life is good but as I've recently been using the media player more, it seems to need more charging then other phones, though that in mind it's only once every few days which isn't too bad.
Hope this helps.
-
-
how long would a bb(blackberry) last on average xxxx
-
depends on how hard you use it.
it's supposed to outlive till your next upgrade, but if you are never off it, then it can be worn out before you get there.
-
-
R some of the apps on the apple products still available on the blackberry
-
yeah some of them
-
-
dose it have wireless internet?
-
yes it is brill
-

How good is the camera and camcorder quality? I'm probably going to get my Blackberry Curve 8520 with T-mobile and I was wondering if I would get BBM for free? How easy is it to use this phone and are there any bad points about it? I text more than I call.
Thanks x-
my son has took photos and recorded and the quality seems just fine..the bbm he is always on to his friends and even i can use his phone so it must be easy ish myself personally the keyboard is small but my son (5ft7) and 13 thinks its just rite n neat he says its def his fav phone ..i have an i phone which is even easier though to use lol hope that doesnt confuse you ..i shall let him have at least 18mth on the blacckberry then let him upgrade to iphone
-
Hi
The blackberry 8520 keyboard is very small and to type u end up using 2 thumbs
BBM would be part of a blackberry plan however if you dOnt have blackberry price plan the extra (BIS blackberry Internet service) will cost you and extra £5 plus your plan also available on pay as you go
Also choose T-Mobile or Orange as the use the same network now as there Everything Everywhere
You could try a demo handset instore and I can't agree more I find the I Phone is a better handset and easier to type on too
Good luck

is the curve 8520 better than the 9360 curve, just wondered adn is bbm worht it?

Yes as my wife has the other and has returned to her NOKIA E71 but she has tried mine and said it comparies to her Nokia.

No as long as you don't use any more over your wifi allowance.
-
-
I'm thinking of getting a bb on pay monthly do u get bbm on pay monthly ??
-
I think you need to top up an extra £5 to get bbm!
-
we had alot of problems getting bbm on pay monthly. they were saying £5 extra a month on pay monthly. long story but yes it is £5 extra per month. so beware what orange offer you. they say one thing and then someone else at orange says something else.

-
How slow would you rate the blackberry out of 100?
-
Well i carnt answer that right now sorry but as soon as my son comes home i will ask him as i bought it for him
-
-
How slow would you rate the blackberry out of 100?
-
Hm, interesting question! 85/100 ..it depends however. Sometimes I connect in no time! I would say that the Blackberry is actually very fast, but it depends on the connection and the interference. However I am very pleased with it, great phone with amazing options that I slowly discover as time goes by apart from the camera which is rather disappointing! Hope this helps you.
-
at time 95/100 but at peak times it can go down to about 70. i get a great signal at home but when out it can be different. check with the network to see the signal strength before purchase. other than this it is a great phone which uploads pics online quickly and easily.
-
I don't find it slow when we are home the signal is great which is why i changed phone and network as we live in the middle of nowhere. If we are out and about i do find it takes a little longer to load so i'd give it 50/50 depending on location, but i do have to agree with Gabriella about the camera it really lets the phone down but this is the only flaw i have with the phone.

-
-
Have you had any problems with the BlackBerry Curve 8520
-
I have not experienced any problems with my Blackberry. Texting and emails are so simple and phone quality is better than with my previous Nokia. Good buy.
-
-
Does it always freeze and can you keep your old sim card and have it all changed to the sim card that yuu have? x
-
Hi Not sure about the sim card thing but we havent had any problems with the phone freesing.
Thanks
-
-
hi i want to get a blackberry curve i want to know if it will break easily?
-
i bought this for my daughter, who does get through phones quickly, she has had it 4 months now and touch wood it is all working perfectly, although she is aware it has to last her 2 years due to her contract, so she is looking after it, she also has put her own case on the back which offers some protection, but yes i think it as robust as you can get.
-
-
is a blackberry a business phone?
-
Yes to a limited degree, does not have as much functionality as some more expensive Blackberry models.
-
-
does this blackberry freeze alot?
-
Well, I don't have many problems with it freezing, I think it all depends in the area you are, and signal. There were problems last year, but were resolved, and that was nation wide. It can be a bit slow @ times, but that's all. Hope this helped you. Julie :)
-
-
what good thinsg are there about the blackberry?
-
Brought this for my son the bbm messages are great for chatting to his mates and doesn't cost much
-
bbmn is great and id say thats the best feature x but ive had a lot of problems with blackberrys frezzing loseing messagers screen going blank this has been haping more often recently
-
I love the bbm feature. Also very easy to use especially for someone new to smartphones like me.
-
-
is the 3G version of this blackberry better for bbm and internet access?
-
Not sure if it's better. My daughter managed to get bbm and internet access on hers once she topped up. Struggled to get her off it!
-
-
hey!!!! my mum or dad dont trust me with a blackberry Im want this one , how can i persuade them ASAP Please xxxxi also go into yr 7 this year
-
Sweety persuading parents is never easy but this blackberry is really easy to use, lots of free apps which can help you in school (fast internet access, apps like encyclopedia, calculators etc), bbmessanger that allows you chat with family and friends plus emails and social websites. Good luck :)
-
-
I want a blackberry curve 8520 but I am not about them as people say they freeze on you all the time and you have to pay for bmm so is it true if so . I want a pay as you go blackberry do u now roughly how much it will be an is it sutinle for A 12 year old and if you top up 10 pounds do you get 300 free texts thanks please reply
-
Hi - I think if you use them a lot for texting the keypads tend to brake - but if not using a lot will be ok, i dont know about tariffs you would need to ask the supplier you want to use, my son uses tesco mobile and they are cheap
-
dont go for the 8520 try the 9300 much better phone i have both kinds and the 9300 is a far better phone
-
-
Should I get a Blackberry or is it not worth it because right now, I have a rubbish phone and all my friends are talking to each other on bbm but it seems really expensive unless I get a pre-owned one?
-
I really like the BBM part of the blackberry, you have to have internet to use this as I found out! I think irs a very good reliable phone.
-
-
Is there an app store on this mobile phone and if so, does it have the apps like angry birds and shazam to compete with other app stores like the android and apple app stores?
-
No it doesnt have apps like android and iphone. The apps are not great on any b/berry compared to the iphone i had before...
-
agreed with the other answer to your question. i use it mainly for bb
-
-
Does it have the orange sticker at the bottom if u buy it and can you take it off?
-
No mine doesn't have an Orange sticker. It was just a standard BB. Hope that helps.
-
Not all Blackberry phones have the Orange sticker depends where you buy it but no it con not be removed.
-
-
Does it have the orange sticker at the bottom if u buy it and can you take it off?
-
Well when I bought my phone there was no sticker unless it's from
Orange provider then no u can't remove it
-
-
is it good? cause my blackberry bold is very old and is very bad! it doesnt show the images full size and will not zoom in? is the lifespan that bad cause i only use it for about 2 hours a day? i hope you will answer my questions!
-
Hi Lauren. Thanks 4 your questions. Personally I'd say I'm quite happy with my Blackberry Curve. Sometimes it won't show full image Zooming 2 100%.But it does zoom in. I usually charge every 2 days. Hope I've been of some help? If not, ur welcome 2. Ask more questions if you need 2!! It might help you 2 go 2a phone shop+ask 4a demonstration.
-
My blackberry is not like that but I would suggest you go to a mobile phone shop and ask for a demonstration then you can see exactly what you are getting. Battery life is good lasts a few days and zooms ok
-
It's rubbish! takes all day to get onto the web. better get the 3g version (9300)
-
-
is it good? cause my blackberry bold is very old and is very bad! it doesnt show the images full size and will not zoom in? is the lifespan that bad cause i only use it for about 2 hours a day? i hope you will answer my questions!
-
in a nutshell yes its is good. but as you have highlighted, the images are not full size, but you do have the option to zoom in now. the screen size does limit, you availability to see web pages but with the zoom, it does help, although not perfect...the lifespan of the battery is alot better then the older models, but when im using wifi, the battery does seem to deplete faster then i would of thought. but in no way will you be recharging your phone every 2 days. to sum up. if i was using my phone for internet browsing a lot, i would go for an android phone with 5" touch screen, but if it was more for sending/recieving emails, txting and phone calls with a samll amount of internet browsing then i would go the blackberry.

I like it. I don't browse that much on it, when I do I find it a bit slow but thats maybe the area I live in. You can zoom in and it is very easy to use. The battery life is not great, for two hours a day you will probably need to charge it up every 2 to 3 days give or take. I would recommend it cause it suits me great. Hope this helps.
-
I got it free with my Tesco contract for £15 a month and I get 750 minutes, 5000 texts and 500mb of data per month. I keep the phone charging in my lorry, so I'm not certain how long it would last without a charge. If you have slim fingers, the keys should be a breeze. It loads up quite quickly for the internet and you can pretty much browse all day everyday for no extra charge. Yes, it does zoom in.

is this blackberry better than the rio II ?? because thats what i have got now , and i would really love a blackberry as all of my friends have got one...but i dont want to waste my savings!!!! i have £200 pounds and i want this but please answer...is it worth getting?? and what are the good and bad things about it??
thanks :)-
We got a really good deal on Tesco mobile with a free Blackberry - I've had a few Blackberry's and all have been good for work and private use.
-
Never had a rio but the battery life of this blackberry is by far the best and the free blackberry messenging service is fab, it has lots of features you will love
-
Rhyannon, I am by no way a phone expert but I am starting to experience problems with my Blackberry - strange messages about connections coming up and the sound isn't too good. The camera is not great and the internet connection is slow and a very small screen. My son's Blackberry keeps running out at 45% so I would avoid Blackberrys from now on.
Never heard of a Rio but my kids are saying iphones are the best.

how do you set up bbm on a pay as you go phone??
-
I am sorry but my phone is a pay monthly and I am not sure if it is different from a pay as you go set up. It should have a set up wizard or a help line number if you require help to set it up
-
Depends on network you have.with tesco use customer support oron line help faqs
-

is this price good for a blackberry ?
:)
-
On my contract the phoen itself is free, and I only pay like £15 for my internet, calls and texts. So I feel it is definately a good price for what I get. And I never go over, so thats a bonus
-
It is a good price and was an ideal tariff for my teenage son who was constantly going over his limit on his previous contract. The downside was the customer service when he was connected to the wrong tariff and could not use his phone for two months!

Yes I am more than happy with the price for my usage.

Hi i really want to get a bb but i worried because after reading that some people are saying bbm is free but some are saying it isnt??????????
Which is it and if some phones have it free and some dont could you tell me which ones are free bbm??????????????? pls :)-
Hi there, are you just buying the blackberry handset? Or getting it through a contract? If you get it through a contract the phone is usually free with a contract lasting however long you agree to have it ( for exmaple 12 or 18 months etc) But just buying the handset with no contract you will have to pay the price will vary with each model of the blackberry, hope this helps.
-
Not sure what bbm is but you may be referring to the Blackberry Bolt on service which allows access to E Mail and the Internet. For me through Vodafone the charge was £5 per month. Hope this answers your question.
-
-
What do you need to look at on a contract to see if bbm is paid for in the contract.
-
Make sure it is a blackberry contract or if you are on pay as you go tell them you want it set up for bbm and the usual charge is £5/month.
-
-
What do you need to look at on a contract to see if bbm is paid for in the contract.
-
Depending who your with it should come up on ur bill if its covered or not.
-
-
How much do you top up?? For internet and texts and bbm and stuff like that and calls is it true it is only Ten pounds?? Whats the cheapest you can top up??
-
I am on a contract with Tesco Mobile where I pay £15 a month for 700 mins, unlimited texts and 500gb of data. It's also capped so I will never go over budget!

How do i pay for BBM on a pay as you go phone? Does it work with internet??

BBM is free so that won't cost you anything. As for internet usage. It might charge you depending how much usage your allowed. If you don't download it should be fine but if you do it could cost you a lot.

is this Phone worth getting on contract?Or does it break easily? my friends have the 8520 and they love it but then some of the others have the bold9790 because the 8520 seemingly freezes loads...does anyone know what phone would be the best to get for socializing (bbm,Texting,Facebook) :) Thanks
-
The phone freezes sometimes but is easy to use the biggest problem I had was that I got it on tesco contract and I have problems with them update the phone monthly so I can get internet one time it took about 10 days with no internet I have now got an I phone 4 with tescos no problems brilliant phone much better than the blackberry
-
I got my 8520 on contract and its fine. It did freeze once but I just removed the battery then put it back in. I use mine for BBM, Facebook and Twitter and I'm more than happy with it.

im really confused about BBM i know you have to download it normally but do you have to pay for the app when you download it and every time you send a message to someone on BBM do yo have to pay for it. xx
-
You have to pay a monthly charge of £5 then after that it's free to send messages until it runs out which you will then need to top up and pay the £5 charge again
-

Is the Blackberry good value for money? I know my mum had one and she loved it! however my friends have had them and they say the opposite. They say it's not good at all. How do you find it?
-
Its actually my daughters and she seems happy enough shes 14 and it takes a lot of hammer she can access all the things important to a teenager facebook twitter etc.
twinned with the tesco price plan i think its excellent value for money.hope this helps if theres anything else you wish to know feel free to ask . -
I think its amazing value for money. I pay £15 a month on my Tesco Tarriff. I find it easy to use, quite quick, and it has everything i need on it. Its very durable too, as its had a bit of a battering from my two young boys! Its quick to charge up and has quite a long battery life.
-
-
Can you get BBM for free on pay as you go?
-
hello yes you can as long as you have access to the internet on your blackberry as you download of blackberry apps or sometimes bbm is already installed on the phone.
-
-
Heyyaa, I was just wondering is this a good deal for the phone i have a Blackberry Pearl at the moments and I would like 2 own a Blackberry Curve 8520. Thankx.xx
-
Hi,
I had loads of problems with the service provider initially as I kept loosing Blackberry services and they just couldn't seem to get them to stay on for more than a month at a time. The bundle is good because I do not use many texts or minutes and I only use the data bundle to check news and football scores, which is good because the internet access is rubbish. I would not renew this package. It is good for e-mail and thats it -
I think this is a great deal - I use the capped contract for my kids. One uses BBM all the time, the other uses it quite alot and also checks football scores constantly! Having just returned from holiday I even found that they got 10mb a day blackberry access for free which was great. They don't use the minutes much but use the texts and find that they are more than enough. I thought it was the best value around although it was the capped contract feature that really swung it for me. The service has been pretty contant and I can't say I have any complaints.
-

-
-
what is the difference between blackberry email and blackberry messanger?
-
Hi...the difference between blackberry internet service (the £5 a month bit) and the unlimited internet add on is that the unlimited internet is paying for the actual data that you use...there the blackberry internet service is paying for use of the blackberry specific services...and unfortunately you do have to have both in place to use the blackberry properly!
Without the BIS you will not be able to access email, messenger or the internet browser and without an unlimited web add on you can access them but the amout of data used would cost you a fortune!
It's well worth paying for though, blackberry email delivers all your email the instant you receive them, blackberry messenger offer always on access to instant messaging with all your friend who have blackberry's (you can also instantly transfer files and photos etc) and you also get access to the app world and use of apps like facebook and twitter which are really fast and again all notificationd are pushed straight to the handset so you never miss a beat!
-
-
Does it have BBM on pay as u go
-
Yes, just as long as you have some kind of internet connection it does.
-
-
Does it have BBM on pay as u go
-
you have to call your sim card provider (PAYG Team) and get BBM pack for payg
-
Not sure, mine is contract & mine does, My sons is on 02 and his does, I think as long as you have some kind of internet access you can, I think BBM needs an internet connection to work.
-
-
does it freeze allot and if you buy it on pay as you go and it breaks can u get like a 1 year grantee or something
-
I am on pay monthly and have not had any problems with it.
-
it usually comes with guarantee and mine never freezes

Is the WiFi 802.11 b/g unlimited on the blackberry curve 8520 when you are home?
-
Hi Matt my husband said it is, hope this helps.
-
-
Is the WiFi 802.11 b/g unlimited on the blackberry curve 8520 when you are home?
-
yes on my phone
-
-
I Was Wondering If They Are Worth It Or If Like Apple You Have To Pay For Lots Of Things Seperatley And If They Are Good Or The 3G Is Better The 3G Looks Niceer But This One Is Really Cheap.! xo
-
Personally I don't use a fraction of the 750 mins I get for the £15 a month and I do use the internet a lot so if purchasing again I would look for a 3g blackberry for the same price but with less inclusive minutes. In addition to much faster internet the 9300 3g comes with apps installed for facebook, twitter and blackberry world but the 8520 did come with a cd rom which I think may have included some apps. The 9300 is slightly better designed and they've ironed out some small quirks that exist on the 8520. It can stream live music off the internet and allows you to open different tabs on internet explorer. However if you want lots of minutes, instant access to your emails and a good camera and video then the 8520 is a great phone.
-
-
hello, i have the blackberry 8520 and the app world app is not on my phone. Iv tried to download it but it doesn't appear on my menu page! any idea on what to do so that I have the app world symbol
-
Switch off your phone and take out battery and reboot phone it should then appear.
-
-
does orange do a data plan for the blackberry curve 8520?
-
I'm not sure of the different Orange plans, but you can get internet access on the Blackberry. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
-
-
is there bbm blackberrymessanger
-
Yes but you may need to ring your provider to set it up
-
-
Is it true that the blackberry curve can freeze an that you keep having to take the battery out all the time? And also, would you reccommend this phone to a teenager?
-
no i not had that problem at all i had my blackberry a month no and no problems at with it yes i would recomend the phone to a teenager and grown ups too
-
Mine has frozen once or twice but after you take the battery out there is no problem, as long as you don't get your messages clogged up you should be fine. I would recommend this phone if you are looking to just text, make calls and do some basic internet searching.
-
-
would u sy this is better or a 9300 and wich 1 breaks easier n better lookin
-
9300 is better & better looking but they break the same
-
if i was you never get a blackberry they are rubbish after the first few weeks im touch pad thing broke
-
-
Why is the battery power so short
-
Its usually because you have the bluetooth option on all the time when you don't need it
-
-
HI,
Ok so i really want a blackberry but with the £10 a month deal do i get BBM free please help :)-
I cant answer that you would have to check with the provider
-
-
Hello there is it possible if I can a capped blackberry contract ?
-
I am not sure about this - I guess it depends where you get the phone from and who the service provider is. I'm with Orange and I can change my contract online every so often, which allows me to change to cheaper rates according to my usage, but it is not capped.
-
-
can you get it in different colourz
-
As far as I am aware they are all black, but you can purchase a coloured sleeve for a few pounds and have whatever colour you like.
-
-
can u still get bbm without a contract
-
Hi Alex I don't think you can but I have never tried but it depends on your plan if you have pay as you go probably have to pay extra sorry I could not be more helpful .
-
How would you connect to a network without paying ????
-
You can't without paying nothing is for free ?
-
-
Hello i just got a blackberry curve 8520. I Wanna know How To Get Bbm ? Its Pay As You Go. Im T Mobile Thanks :)
-
Hi, if you ring up T mobile, and as part of your contract you can have blackberry media/internet services, which I believe is £5 a month extra! Then, from this, you will have bbm and added email and wifi access. Hope this helps
-

You go to blackberry app world and download it from there. if you already have your bbm and just want to get it running top up your phone 5 pound a month to pay for your bbm. then phone up tmobile to confirm and register if not already done and your bbm should be up and running in upto 48 hours.

Hello,
F0r the £10 a month deal, where your on a 24 month contract, where you get 5000 free texts and 100 minutes and 500MB of data, do you get free BBM and email, and do you have to download apps like facebook on there or are they already on there, and back to the BBM and Email, down where it gives you all the different contracts you can get it says unlimited BBM and email, but didnt know whether this was included and free or whether you have to pay.
Thanks :)-
the £10 a month deal unfortunetly is now £15 a month but includes bbm with that. It is a month to month contract with Tesco so you are not tiede in for a long period. depends on your phone which aps you have.
