We are looking for a freezer to store in a garage. Our current model is struggling with the low temperatures. Can anyone confirm how well the freezer has worked in this cold winter.
-
This freezer is perfect for me but, I do not have it in a garage..
-
My freezer is in an un heated kitchen and I was expecting a problem but it was ok. It dont get below about 8degrees though. Anyway there is an easy answer to your problem all you do is use one of the old huricane lamps behind or towards the rear of the freezer and it will keep it warm enough to tick over without problem. This worked in garage in the cold spell of the 1970s. I have been told a forty watt bulb will do the same but have not tryed that one. Any very small heat source dose the trick. I love the freezer much better than my not very old Hoover one that dropped to bits. good luck

Does this freezer have auto defrost
-
it is classed as frost free ,and it defrosts automaticaly into a plastic container at the back. The container then dries up.No water no frost.Superb buy,and a good price

-
Does this freezer make a noise when the door is left open?
-
YES IT STARTS TO MAKE A BEEPING NOISE
-
Yes it does!!! drives me nuts whilst I'm putting my food away... But at least one cannot forget to close the door! its SUCH a good idea...
-
-
Are you sure there is a door open alarm on this model as Tesco's info says no to this?
-
Yes it is good, it gives you enough time to find things and only goes off if I am in a long time reorganising. I like it much better than my hoover one which was only 2 years old and broke to pieces.
-
-
Well, does it have a 'door left open' alarm or not? Anyone else with this exact model please.
Or what about you Mr. Tesco ...is your information correct or not? This is very important to me as door gets left open by mistake often.-
Mine is in the garage.......but it does bleep if I leave it when I am loading and unloading
-
I have answered this question before..... YES! it does have a door left open alarm..... A very LOUD and rapid "beep, beep, beep" that doesn't stop till the door is closed again...
-
I agree, it does have a door open alarm - a very good one.
-
