   1. 3 shelves and large crisper container which is the full width of the fridge. Freezer is frost free so no defrosting to do

   1. iT IS THE NOISIEST FRIDGE I HAVE EVER HAD IS ALL I CAN SAY COMMENSURATE WITH LITTE BURSTS OF SAY SOMETHING SOUDING LIKE A MOTOR CYCLE ON THE ROAD AS I AM SAT HERE WITH THE SPORTS NEWS ON I CAN HEAR THE FRIDGE OVER THE TELEVISION.....KITCHEN DOOR OPEN AND I LIVE IN A STUDIO FLAT SO WILL SOUND LOUDER FOR ME.........SHAME.. SPOILS GOOD PRODUCT THAT IN ALL OTHER ASPECTS OK.........GOOD LUCK.!........TONY

   2. Yes, this fridge/freezer can make some funny noises, doing what it is supposed to to do to freeze/chill.But this noise is infrequent. It doesn't bother me at all, it's in the kitchen, we can't hear it anywhere else in the house. Other than that, it's a great product, and very easy to keep clean, and no ghastly ice to defrost. try it.

4. I purchased my Beko CDA539FW - 8.4cu.ft - on the 6th February 2008. Last week, although fridge working, freezer fan working, no obstructions, the freezer itself isn't! Had to throw food away. Top shelf still partly freezes. Never had to replace any fridge/freezer under 15 years old, so didn't expect to replace one after only 3 years. Anyone any answers as to why this has happened????

   1. Wish could help. I took out the B Gas kitchen appliance insurance- £8/month for 3 appliances. Why not take it out then get them to have a look. That's what I did. They were very good.

   1. There are 3 shelves - the top shelf is for fast freeze and is fairly large - the other 2 are drawers and are quite small.
      there is also a ice cube shelf approx 2 ins deep at the top which is quite handy

   2. 3 shelves. Top is fast freeze with drop down opening. Then two further pull out drawers. While the fast freeze and middle drawrers are of a good size the bottom drawer is only half the size of the others

   1. Yes, and it's quite a good size. One thing i'd like to warn you about is make sure if you buy cornetto's DON'T put them in the top freezer compartment loose. I did and one got stuck in the fan, which caused things to defrost. I noticed just before i called for repairs. It is a great fridge/freezer. I love it. Hope this helps you Margaret.    1. Yes, there is a door compartment to stand milk/juice/water etc.
      
      The compartment has three standing areas. The bottom of the compartment has a shelf height of 15" for bottles, etc. The middle shelf is a further 6" upwards and the top shelf is 4" from the top for small items.

   1. According to instructions is suitable for garages....operates to outside temperature down to minus 15C. Hope this helps...haven't tried as I have mine in the kitchen.

    1. Hi the 3 drawers each measure 7 1/2 inches tall,and then at the top is a tray called the ice bank with the ice cube tray...it is just a tray to keep ice cubes in so that you can keep a supply of them in the freezer. i got the height of the fridge and freezer off the website but its just over 5ft (60 1/2 inches) hope this helps

12. The projected location would restrict the freezer door being opened more than 90 or 95 degrees max. Would it allow all 3 drawers to be fully opened?

    1. Yes no problem as the drop down doors open within the width of the freezer and do not rely on opening the doors more than 90 degrees.

    2. hi Nigel, all 3 freezer drawers can be opened at 90 degrees, fridge shelves a little more difficult but possible. Doors can be reversed if that helps

    1. Hello Maurice, The motor on mine does not run continuously, it does cut out from time to time. Perhaps you have it set at too high a number and therefore it is continually trying to keep the internal temperature cool? or maybe you have it situated in a warm area, therefore the same would apply, it will be continually trying to keep a low temperature. I keep mine on number 2 - it is in a small kitchen and away from any heat source. Hope this helps.

16. Was going to buy this fridge but noticed there have been a few incidents of the defrost timer overheating with the potential to cause a fire. http://refsafety.beko.co.uk/ Anybody had any problems ? Or have they been fixed by Beko ?

    1. No. The water from the defrost just evaporates at the back with the heat of the motor. Have had no problems with it at all.

    I have had my Beko for only 2 years. After 1 year ice crean stopped freezing so I paid for a repair now 1 year later the freezer has stopped freezing properly again. Is it worth sticking with this brand. Have I just been unlucky?

    1. I purchased a white cda539 and very happy with it. Prefer white to silver looks more in keeping with the idea of frozen goods. Have now ordered a Beko fridge for my daughter

    1. l am 5ft 1 & its smaller than me was a bit disapointed with the size to be honest with you as my old one was taller tham me but its value for money & the fact its frost free is brilliant no more having to defrost because it gets iced up & l no longer throw stuff out because its so old l forgot it was there lol good luck

25. I'm confused by the width as on different sites they say different things. I need it to be 50cm, but most say the various CDA539 models are all 54.5, but then afew sites like this say it's actually 50. I don't want to buy and then it's too big.

    1. Arthur, the lowest ambient temperature mentioned in the instruction book is -15C. The appliance comes with a standard 1 year guarantee , I am unable to advise how long it is expected to last and when the the product was first launched.
