Good points:: Drag and drop media files so easier to load up than an Ipod.
Styling is good and screen is bright sharp and clear.
Bad points:: Could be improved with larger memory or support for expansion with SD/Micro SD. Found it fussier than advertised over movie file formats so maybe not perfect but still easier to find content online than for an ipod which is the competition for this machine. As usual with these things the instructions are very basic, clear enough but not that comprehensive.

Good points:: Small, great screen, inexpensive for what you get, FM transmitter works quite well, good format support
Bad points:: software isn't great, touch screen a bit hit and miss, no apparent support for playlists though probably this can be done somehow (I'm fairly new to mp3 players), feeble instructions in box and on web so you have to experiment when things don't go right. Doesn't go very loud either but that's probably good for the ears. If you rip CDs use WIndows Media Player - itunes makes playable mp3s but they don't appear correctly categorised on the Archos.
