Good points:: Quiet. Very even cooking with fan. Nice clear indicators on control panel. Lots of different functions (but see also 'bad points'). Temperature held very steady during cooking.
Bad points:: Countdown timer frustrating to set - increments very slowly at first, then suddenly extremely fast, if you hold the button down. Very easy to turn off an oven accidentally during cooking (e.g. if you mix up the oven selector and function selector buttons). Perhaps too many functions whose use is not sufficiently distinct (e.g. several different functions are stated in the instructions as being particularly suitable for pizzas, or for quiches). Handle of top oven gets rather warm after prolonged use (even after the initial, defective door seal was replaced). Actual temperature seems a bit lower than set, based on speed of cooking and on a separate oven thermometer which reports a steady 20°C error.

Good points:: Although this oven was complex to start with, once you get familiar with the controls it's brilliant. It looks good has all the features and is very efficient. I am completely satisfied with this product.

Good points:: styling is clean and modern.
Digital display and buttons are clear.
Oven fits well in a modern kitchen.
Build qulaity is excellent.
Bad points:: Getting used to the oven controls. SAme controls for each cavity. Have to remember to select the right cavity first.

Conventional ovens heat from the bottom so the top of the oven will be slightly hotter than the bottom. This is useful when you’re cooking lots of different dishes at a time. However, they do take a little longer than fan ovens to heat up. Convection (or fan) ovens circulate the air so that you get an even temperature throughout the oven. They are quicker to heat up which means they save on energy and time. Multifunction (convection or conventional) ovens give you the flexibility to use different methods of cooking. They usually have both fan and conventional settings as well as pizza settings that will only cook from the bottom, giving you a crispy pizza, or top-only cooking that is very useful for browning.

Self-cleaning ovens can come with catalytic liners or pyrolytic programmes. Calalytic liners are the bumpy surfaces which line the inside walls of the oven. They absorb the food and grease and break it down so that the oven is easier to clean. Pyrolytic programmes run for a couple of hours and burn off all the grime in your oven at temperatures up to 500°C. As it gets so hot, the oven door usually locks so that all you need to do is sweep up the ash that’s left over at the end.
