Laptop Buyers GuideManufacturer's Description
Big things do come in small packages! The 10.1" Aspire One 532h features the next-generation processor for netbooks, built-in Wi-Fi, optional 3G, a high-def display and more — all packed in a petit form that’s less than one-inch thin and weighs about 1 kg. What’s more, up to 8 hours of battery life gives you all the power you need to stay connected, so you can get the most out of life while you’re on the move.
Larger than life
Email, blog, chat and surf all you want! The new processor for netbooks handles Internet multitasking easily, delivering up to 15% better performance than previous-generation processors while lowering power consumption to extend battery life. You need only a single charge to get up to 10 hours of cable-free power! The 720p HD display presents crisp, clear imagery in true 16:9 scale, perfect for streaming videos and online activities. The large-capacity hard disk drive saves tons of music and videos, while the multi-in-1 card reader enables convenient transfer of photos from a digital camera or other mobile device. To complete your mobile enjoyment, the Aspire One 532h features two built-in stereo speakers to trumpet the hottest hits!
Small world
Go the distance without moving an inch — engage in face-to face communication anywhere with the Acer Crystal Eye webcam and built-in digital microphone. Keep in touch with family and friends, trek the world, or learn new stuff by connecting to the Internet via Wi-Fi, Fast Ethernet or the optional 3G.
Fine details — big deal!
The Aspire One 532h is the size of a small folder, yet the keyboard is 93% standard size with large keys for better typing. The compact design features a battery that fits flush into the chassis, further streamlining the netbook’s look. The multi-gesture touchpad gives you total control over your documents and photos with simple two-finger motions, and the anti-slip microbead texture of the touchpad offers more precise control and a nice feel.

Here’s a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Acer Aspire One 532h-2D (Netbook)
-
how fast would you say this netbook runs? I mean with loading up programmes, internet surfing, etc.
-
This is one of those questions like "how long is a bit of string?" because it's all relative to what YOU want to run on your pc, and what you want to compare it against. For example I only use mine for browsing the internet and occasional chat with friends on MSN/AOL messenger. This means that there is very little else running at the same time, so it appears to respond quite quickly, bearing in mind that the CPU in the 532h is only 1.66Ghz. If you were to compare this netbook to my gamer system, however which has 4 cores running at 3.8Ghz, you'd say it was slow in the extreme! If you compare this Netbook to many of the others in the same price range it's not much faster or slower than any of them, however the main consideration I had for buying this particular brand/model was the battery life not the speed! For messing about on the internet or watching movies the battery lasts a good 8 hours which to me is more important than speed in this type of product.
